All the Prodigy guitars and basses (I & II series) were produced (cut, sanded, etc.) were produced (cut, sanded, etc.) in Mexico but assembled in the US. Fender get in trouble because of that (Made in USA logo on a mexican guitar) and discontinued the model.

: Do you have any info on Fender ‘PRODIGY’ model guitars possibly made at the Scotsdale factory 1990-1991. Serial no. of my guitar is
: N1 000577. It’s blue in colour, with a black pick guard and 3 pick-ups. I am looking for a mfg. date and what the guitar retailed at and where, primarily were these guitars sold. Mine sounds and plays great. Thank you, Al.
I just bought a black one, customized. With new pickups – 2 Mightymites & a Seymour Duncan humbucker. I paid $400.00 and it was worth every penny. I love it. Mine looks like this one – http://www.strat-central.com/prodigy.htm
