Re: Alvarez model# 5053
I own a 5053. I think I got mine around 71-72.
I think the sides might be brazilian rosewood, but
I am not sure. I installed a set of Grover tuners on it about 1973. It's a good guitar, the action is a little high. The adjustable height bridge is not ideal. I want to replace with a solid one piece bridge. This guitar satisfies my need for a dreadnaught. I would like to find more info about it as well.
: I have an Alvarez Model 5053, serial # 56663, which I purchased in the 70s.It states "hand made" by Alvarez inside. Can anyone tell me what year it was made and what it is worth? And anything else about this guitar. It has a great sound. Thanks a lot.

alvarez 5350
I have a 5350 I got when I purchased a Martin D41 from a lady. She said the 5350 is from the seventies.
The number on the heelblock is 0851.
Can someone tell me what year it is?
It is in great shape with original case and yes it's for sale.
