A top mod to an ordinary pedal

The tone from Seifert Electronics SD-1 mod is better than I've had from a couple of highly publicised and expensive) mods to TS-series units from the USA. I don't think anyone goes into the same detail as Frank to emulate the TS-808. I play mainly hard rock with some early blues and this pedal gives me everything I want. It is nothing like the stock pedal. The first thing you notice is that there is now bass it never had before, but it is not muddy at all. The strings retain their transparency and with the drive backed off, you get a beautiful clear punch with just a touch of overdrive. Maxxed out, you get a great fat tone with stacks of sustain. It really does what they claim and I've shipped another unit down to have it modded. I just don't want to run the risk of gigging without one. Good work, guys!
