    I am trying to find out the value of my Hagstrom Bass Guitar serial number 678308 it was purchased in the mid to late ’60’s. It is black brown and tan. No model listed.

    Does anybody know what year this sexy-beast is?
    I have been told that it is the result of some production/model switch-around? I bought it in uh, about 1988 or 89.
    I HAVE NEVER seen another one with TWO TOGGLE switches?
    SERIAL NUMBER 731568
    I can’t seem ta upload a picture so I will link a video of it in action.

    My Cherry Red Hagstrom isn’t played much anymore and is looking for a new home.

    A Luthier and dealers I have visited all say it is one of, if not the cleanest vintage guitars
    they have seen. The guitar is all original, never been touched except to play. It is missing two plastic
    inserts out of the four nobs, otherwise a good as a 42 years old guitar can be IMHO.

    There were only 15 lefty’s made in 1972 and this is serial number 1.

    Would be pleased to hear if there is any interest.

    I have heard there are only 201 pieces made.
    Two pieces in Finland,one is mine.
    No fretboard or tail,but still in very good shape.

      I was looking at a similar guitar in a music store in Helsinki last year. They was asking 560 euro. The guitar was in a very good condition.

    Hi, I have a hagstrom guitar, looks like the Swede, with serial number 53 913 032, but it has the lettets P.J. (?) in the head stock.
    And it has a different tail piece than most swede’s .

    I really want to know from what year the guitar is and why it has a different tail piece

    can you help me with some information?

    Where i live (amsterdam / holland) there are no hagstrom dealers. They are very hard to get here.

    Hagstrom III is the 62nd made of 100 in 1966 from a serial run of 659. Hagstrom only made 306 of the lefty Hagstrom III guitars. It is an electric 8 string. It comes with it’s orginal tiger case. Picture upon request. $1200 USD obo
    Buyer will pay shipping, preferred method of payment is a US Postal Money Order or Chashier check.     Just came into a hagstrom Kent model #639472, all we can see missing is the bottom bridge. Looking for replacement part to restore it, and wondering how to find out what it is worth, and how to sell it for maximum value! Anyone can help-let me know!

  20. Hagstrom IV Coronado Bass for Sale

    I have a well cared for Hagstrom IV Coronado Bass. Research indicates it was manufactured in 1967. It is a second series IV Bass and not from the first series batched models. It has two chrome finger and thumb rests along with separate controls for the pickups. Very limited run and quite rare.

    I’ll send a picture if you are interested. This bass is valued around $2,000 (if one could be found). I’d sell for $1,500 or B.O.

      I have a Hagstrom guitar I purchased in 1988 from a pawn shop. Beautiful instrument, but know little about it. The serial # is 852020.Can you tell me something about it? Someone told me it is a "Jimmy", whatever that is.

It has 2 pickups, is a double cutaway & has a trapeze tailpiece.Sunburst pattern front & back. The head is keyed with 3 on a side.23 fret keyboard with pearl inlay. Wrote this two years ago and got no hits at all.
