: dudes, pardon my ignorance, i just happen to want to purchase a 606, but what the hell is a patch?
A patch is a combination of effects – you can store 42 patches on the 606 as far as I remember. Still looking for a patch site, as my head is wrecked trying to get a good combo for a couple of songs.
BTW, the 42 patches are pre-programmed on the 606, but you can overwrite them easily (and restore them if you want to).
Everyone always posts messages asking for Zoom 505II patches but there arent any sites atall and everyone says to just get them for the 505 but it just isn`t the same do you agree.
yeah thats true man! I found a few websites which had 505 presets but they weren’t the right thing, they just didn’t sound properly. I think it’s because there are different amounts of possible effects and patch numbers etc. Myself I was looking for Korn-like presets, been looking for a week still can’t find any.

I want to reset all the tones to the industry settings and something happened to my processor that I cant switch on from on patch to amother patch through the pedal ………that is if I play A1 , I can go to A2,A3,A4 and then I have press the side button to go to B1 .

….likewise…this funny little toy is just a bit too difficult for me to follow without a manual; i;m trapped in the same settings you are….
you can download the manual from the samson support page, it is in pdf format, i had to right click on the link and select save target as on my pc….it tells you how to reset…but basically, you unplug the pedal, hold down the store button, plug the pedal in, it will display Al i think, then press store again, the lights will flash faster as if you stored a setting, and then ‘voila, reset to factory settings!

I just bought zoom 7010 fire. I cant find any information about it in the web. I would like to know if anykind of footswich is available to it. And because i dont have anykind of manual it would be great if someone knows any websites that would contain information about it.

i don’t have a circuit but his may be worth looking at
there is an analog board above the main board on the left as you look at the front of the unit.
this is connected to the main board via two sets of vetical pins. as this board is screwed down fairly firmly it is unlikely that these have become disconnected, however the pins may have cracked their solder joints where they connect to the main board.
I had the same problem and it was just bad contact between the input jack and the board. If you have a soldering iron, you can easily fix it on your own.

The same thing happen with my 2020. I was at service and nothing hapens.They told me that memory or CPU died.

Zoom hasn’t come out with a rackmount of the 9030, but the 9050 has, I’m told, the same performance as the 9030 plus it is rackmountable. It is also said to be around the same price.

Take the distortions and high gain amps, set up one patch of each one with the gain turned down to 1 but the patch volume around 24-25. No effects. I like the metal one done this way. Audition them till you find one you like. Then mess that with the amp speaker sims and eq till you get it how you like it. Best, Newbie Brad

I had a problem with display some time ago … the only thing i had to do was change the fuse — (I think this fuse was located near the top front corner somewhere above the display — good luck…
This 9030 has recently failed to work for patches that have the compresion module (first stage. Instead, it gives a "slow motor" type noise which you can’t override with the guitar – does anybody have any clues as to why this is so ? battery problem perhaps ??

always try the connectors first.
in your case the rest works so it can’t be the input and output sockets but it could be the ones that feed the separate analog board.
take the unit out into good light with a magnifying glass (don’t set fire to it!)and look at where the connectors are soldered. you are looking for fine cracks, corrosion etc
yes not uncommen overheating likely problem. add heatsink to regulators as they dont have any. I’m about to do this to a unit with same problem. so contact me in a few weeks to see if I succeed.

Yeah, I agree. Surely someone out there is posting patches for the newer 505II…??? The 505 patches just don’t transpose very well to the 505II.

i don’t have a circuit but his may be worth looking at
there is an analog board above the main board on the left as you look at the front of the unit.
this is connected to the main board via two sets of vetical pins. as this board is screwed down fairly firmly it is unlikely that these have become disconnected, however the pins may have cracked their solder joints where they connect to the main board.

I had the same problem and it was just bad contact between the input jack and the board. If you have a soldering iron, you can easily fix it on your own.

Open the case and take out the battery for a moment. When you put it back, you’ll get the factory settings.
It’s easy to do and doesn’t need any previous technical knowledge.

I was just wondering if Zoom ever produced a rackmount for the 9030 processor.
Zoom hasn’t come out with a rackmount of the 9030, but the 9050 has, I’m told, the same performance as the 9030 plus it is rackmountable. It is also said to be around the same price.
I have the 9030 and the rackmount for the 9050 fits perfectly for the 9030.

Take the distortions and high gain amps, set up one patch of each one with the gain turned down to 1 but the patch volume around 24-25. No effects. I like the metal one done this way. Audition them till you find one you like. Then mess that with the amp speaker sims and eq till you get it how you like it. Best, Newbie Brad

First i think you should define punk, because its something that comes from within, just cram in loads of gain and easy on the bass and then experiment with the treble and middle
but at the end of the day just play for the hell of it.

I had a problem with display some time ago … the only thing i had to do was change the fuse — (I think this fuse was located near the top front corner somewhere above the display — good luck…

always try the connectors first.
in your case the rest works so it can’t be the input and output sockets but it could be the ones that feed the separate analog board.
take the unit out into good light with a magnifying glass (don’t set fire to it!)and look at where the connectors are soldered. you are looking for fine cracks, corrosion etc
yes not uncommen overheating likely problem. add heatsink to regulators as they dont have any. I’m about to do this to a unit with same problem. so contact me in a few weeks to see if I succeed.
