I recently acquired a vintage Pro 1, all original but the pickguard is in pretty bad shape and the body has some scratches on the back. I would like to replace the pickguard but have not been able to find a replacement. If I make a new pickguard will it diminish the value of the guitar. Does anyone have any idea how much a vintage pro 1 like this is worth? The body is the dark brown formica with silver specs in the finish.

I have an original 59DC (I think) that was purchased by me in 1965 or 1966. It has been unplayed since about 1970 and resides in its original cardboard faux allagator skin case. It shows very minimal wear, everything works and it sounds very vintage. I am curious as to the approximate value of the guitar these days. Any help would be appreciated.

If anyone can help me obtain a template or the proper measurements for cutting, routing and drilling for a 59-DC body blank to receive pots, pick-ups and neck, I would be eternally grateful.

: I have managed to obtain all the necessary Korean made NOS lefty parts, including an unfinished Danelectro 59-dc body blank to build a true lefty 59-DC replica of a vintage 3021. Finally a guitar for the ages built for and by a lefty!

: Thank you for any help you may be able to offer.
