I just bought a Sakura 6string electric guitar on Saturday 6th of August. After 3hrs sleep, I tendered to business and got on the flight back here at 00.15 Sunday morning. I got no sleep on the flight and arrived home at 6.30pm. I pluged the guitar in. I don't know if it was all the traveling but the guitar was out of tune harmonically. I retuned the harmonics and lowered the action. Then I put my trademark bass string on it, as my other 2 guitars. It is very good now. 12 years ago I tried to get Maton Aus. to make me a guitar with the neck the same width as sakura. They said no even though I offered $4000.oo. They said I was crazy and the narow neck is all they do.
When I was trying the guitar at Bang Na I had a croud of 50 people or more. I don't play the guitar like other people. I am unique in my style and what I play was touched onto by Hendrix but unfortuneately he passed away before he got to my experiance of his tuning style on guitar.
I am a busker. I have been for 15 years. I make $25.oo to $150.oo an hour. Depending on the size of the town and location.
People in the music industry say that I am a nut, I can't play guitar and please leave the building or they will have me removed. If I could not play guitar, people on the street would not say to me that they wished they could play like me. The most I have made busking is $189.25 in 4hours.
I would like to send you a CD of what I do but I don't have the computer knowledge to do it electronically. Could you send me your street address and I will send it to you. I will make the cd today on my Sakura, with Hendrix tuning but with my bass string. No bass guitar, just bass string. IT IS MUSIC not just playing chords and a bit of melody as the normal tuning of demands. It is complete music with a bit of lead as finger usage allows.
I think I could sell a lot of guitars for you.
If I can draw a crowd in 5 minuits at the shops in Bkk, I can draw a crowd at a concert hall also. I draw crowds in Australia all the time but the music industry don't like me for some reason. The people do or I would not make enough money to go to Thailand 3 times in the last 18 months.
What can we do???
