hi, to anyone who cares im trying to find some info on a guitar i have . its a kapa, im not sure what model,but thats why im asking.its shaped alot like a strat and has a sunberst color. my uncle said he bought it in the late 60s-early 70s.he thinks it was about 1969 when he got it, but now its mine and i dont know much about it.ive got a 1965 gibson melody maker and a newer gibson "gospel" acustic and id like to know if the kapa is also a quality guitar(which i suppose it is since it has lasted this long and still sounds good) and some other info. if anyone knows anything about it.......thanks.
Hi Vick, I'm interested in seeing your Cobra. Can you send me some pictures of it? I've been researching and collecting Kapa's for a while now and would like to see it. I also own a Kapa. It was made in Maryland during the 1970's. it's a double cut, hollowbody, and 6 string. i will send you a photo of it if you want to see what mine is like. sadly i don't know it's model, i only know that it's a Kapa. i buoght it in a pawn shop about 6 months ago. -emi

::: I also own a KAPA, It was made in Maryland in 1966, and it is all original, I believe my mother paid between $150-$200 back in the 70's when she had begun to play guitar, now I have it and I have begun to play it, and it is a sweet guitar. I bought my Kapa from Veneman Music Co 8429 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring , MD some time in 1967 or 1968...maybe even earlier...from what I remember, they are a cheaper version of Fender guitars...mine is a Sun Burst solid body electric...and I still have and will keep forever...

Do you still have your Cobra? I might be interested. The first electric guitar that I ever played was a Kapa Cobra.
