In reply to Mr. Tim Kelly:

Dear Mr. Kelly,

I have two 12/6 double necks that you may find of interest to you. The more expensive of the two is a beautiful solid body Ibanez Artist. This guitar was manufactured in 1981 or 1982. It is a beautifully grained dark walnut color. I believe it is made of solid mahogany. It has all gold appointments. Both necks are equipped with '58er humbuckers with mini-toggles on both necks to switch out to single coils. Fret inlay markers are abalone in a rosewood board. I will do a little more research on this guitar and let you know if I can tell you a little more about it. Included is the original plush lined hard shell case. Now, I don't know what your budget is, but I am asking $1295.00 for this gorgeous, unmarked guitar with case. If this particular guitar is of interest to you, I will certainly consider your offer.

The second 12/6 I have is more realistically priced, just as clean, and also includes the original plush lined hard shell case. The guitar is manufactured by Hondo--don't be put off because of the brand. I believe it to be of special manufacture by Hondo and is no "el-cheapo." Pick-ups are gold plated DiMarzios, great sounding units. The other hardware on this guitar is either gold plated or solid brass (solid brass bridges as well). Sorry I cannot furnish photos, but as far as the Hondo, think vintage Danelectro double neck, off-white with the copper-burst. Again, very pretty and a great player. By the way, the Ibanez Artist is quite reminiscent of a 12/6 Gibson (although solid bodied). I am asking $595.00 for the Hondo with the OHSC, and again, am open to a reasonable offer.

I am a collector and not a dealer--these are the only 12/6s in my collection and will part with one or the other. I hope you may be interested and would definitely enjoy hearing from you. Please accept my best wishes and kindest regards.

Yours very truly,

John

Garry. From my research, Vantage guitars were made by Samick.. I have a Les Paul Special copy w/ set neck and a rather heavy body. This guitar has sustain and is a great guitar. The problems are input jack and volume and tone controls were scratchy until it was used awhile. I dont know the model # yet. I want another.

Re: SUZUKI 6 STRING ACOUSTIC GUITAR

Hallo
I#m the owner of a Suzuki Three S W300 since 1977.
I bought it new as a Modell from Frankfurt Musik Messe. I payed for it 800 DM. It is a beautiful sounding instrument. I played it nearly every day.
It is still good looking. The price for your Modell should be higher than mine because of the number W500

Re: Lyle elec guitars

Lyle guitars were manufactured in Japan during the 60's and 70's. They were made by epiphone. They have one up for bid on ebay right now. not worth very much.

Need help choosing beg. guitar...here are my choices

Hi, I'm inexperienced when it comes to guitars and I'd like a little help. First, and this may seem silly, but will most guys like a guitar for a gift? I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years, and he's never really shown interest. But I think he could get into one. He's a fin. advisor, very busy. What do you think? Also, I'm trying to choose between 3 inexpensive guitars--Takamine, Johnson, and Spencer. Which is best? Thanks.

Takamine Guitar, PT-015-ST, First Stereo Type, 1982

I have a cherry Takamine Guitar made in 1982 that I purchased in Japan. It is one of the first "stero" types that has a separate stereo jack. It is cherry with pearl inlays. Does anyone have any idea how much it is worth now? I can send a picture on request.

Aria Mach 1 guitar

This Mach 1 is a thin hollowbody, model # AE600. If I'm reading the serial number right it was built in 1977. I'm having a hard time finding any informaiton on this instrument. Anyone know any history or what it might be worth?
