Hey guys. I looked up Global Basses in Ebay tonight and found the exact Global Bass my mother bought me as a kid in 1979. I did a Google and found this mesege board. I noticed a few of you very interested in the Global Company. I don't quite remember the exact origin, but I can tell you that they were sold by WOOLWORTH'S stores in the 70's. My mother paid $89 for mine back then. They were bottom of the barrel cheap Dept. store guitars, but I liked mine. It really brings back memories though as my amp bought at the same place was $25 and my lead guiatr player had an old Sears Silvertone. WOW!!
