Ibanez Guitars

If you wanted a total history of Ibanez you´d have go back to 1908 when a company named Hoshino began as a sheet music store and later music products distributor in Nagoya Japan.

If you wanted a little less completeness than that you´d go back about forty-five when Hoshino began distributing a Spanish guitar named Ibanez. Or perhaps you´d simply go to the Mid 60´s when Hoshino, who by that time had purchased the rights to the Ibanez name, began shipping incredibly funky looking guitars to the United States, many of which were actually sold in department stores.

But for most of us, Ibanez pretty much begins almost 30 years ago, when Hoshino opened an office near Philadelphia, PA for more efficiently distributing Ibanez guitars to the United States. Most of those guitars were Ibanez´ famous high quality (but very inexpensive) copies of just about everything–you name it, we probably made a version of it. At that time many American instruments were going through an unfortunate period of increasing prices with decreasing quality, and these copies hit a ready market.

there quite a few out there. there going between 300 and 450. but i see people tring to get 1400. good luck? mabey yours is in mint shape? but iiim buying right now a 76 custom for 450. and i ve seen more for less but i did just see one in a music store trying to get 1400. for the same one im paying 450 for. thanks mark oh do you still have it?

Re: Ibanez Les Paul Copy

Your Ibanez Les Paul copy even in Pristine condition will only fetch what the market for the manufacturer gets.In other words Ibanex although is a respected manufacturer it's colllector status is not very high.I own a Ibanez and I would put it against any Fender made.At least when i plug it in it doesn't get that annoying hum.But i bet you any Stratocaster made in 1989 is worth more than my EXseries.my geuss on the Les Paul copy $2,500 (U.S)

about new tremolo bridge

Hi there
I am writing this letter from Korea.
I drop by here to inform you of our tremolo bridge.
As you know, the most used tremolo( flody tremolo) has had lots of problems for even guitarlist to set it up to play as well as to handle guitar while you play guitar.

I also got a lots of complaint from all over the world consumers and have even evidence from forum parts of some website.

Our company invented new style, not only in design but specially, in funtion.
Simply, our product doesn't need locking nut to set up as well as it doesn't take long time to set up strings.

can you get idea about that?

Actually , I want to share this infromation about this.
so if you have any idea or questions ?
please, contacts us and leave your valuable opinion.

I will be really pleasure for you do it.

I just bought one for a hundred and fifty bucks and it sounds better than a Les Paul...More Rock and Blues than any guitar (cept maybe a Tom Anderson or Paul Reed Smith).

: : : : : It's the wierd star-shaped guitar, it looks pretty cool. I saw one in a pawn shop. How much are they new?

: : : First, they are just starting to bring back the X series, new ones cost $279. Secondly, There was only one star shaped X series, the DT250. It was pretty much an Explorer with a jagged cutaway in the back. Another one was the XV500 which was a curvier, elongated version of the DT250. The rest of the series was a bunch of Gibson Explorer copies that had a slight overhang at the back and a deeper bottom cutaway.

: My 13 year old son bought the dt250 at a pawn shop with his birthday money for $65 (it wasn't working) and had it fixed at a music store. It plays great. I've also had a hard time finding information about this particular style. I was curious to know how much a brand new one would go for. The one he bought has a few scratches but no paint chips. The guy at the pawn shop said he would have sold it for $200 had it been in working condition.
