The Martin Guitar Company has, through the years, managed to survive with each succeeding generation from C. F. Martin, Sr.s Stauffer influenced creations of the 1830s to recent developments introduced by C. F. Martin IV. Continuous operation under family management is a feat bordering on the remarkable, reflecting six generations of dedication to the guitarmakers craft. In or out of the music industry, C. F. Martin has few rivals for sheer staying power.
Throughout its colorful history, the company has adapted successfully to continual changes in product design, distribution systems, and manufacturing methods. In spite of the many changes, C. F. Martin has never veered away from its initial commitment to quality. The concern for producing the finest instruments possible in 1833 is especially evident today at Martins expanded facility in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

Hello, I am trying to find a value on my guitar which was left to me when my aunt died. She and my dad bought it new in 1969. It's serial number is 245222, martin tells me it is 1 of 60 built in 1969 and it is in 9 to 9.5 condition (with some minor peeling to the base of the pick guard and a tiny crack below that). It's case is a period case, no name on it. I want to place a good ins. value on it and am thinking about selling it. Can you help me please. Jay Ball 1706.313.5525/706.277.4699

Martin XPX-TS/ Les Paul copy electirc guitar
HELP?? I have put a deposit on a Martin XPX-TS electric guitar that looks to be in near perfect condition. Appearance wise it is almost identical to a Gibson Les Paul. It has (apparently) a solid mahoaony body and flamed maple top. The fretboard is rosewood and has the same shape inlays as on a Les Paul. The only cosmetic difference from a Les Paul is that headstock is shaped like a Jackson (slash?), This guitar has a set neck and no tremolo. No serial number to be seen on the outside. Cannot see any country of origin anywhere. It really looks just like a Les Paul except for the headstock. Does anyone know anything about this guitar? Please contact me if you know anything?

Martin manufactured only 208 of these 7/8 size D-28s, between 1979 and 1994. They are no longer in production and are becoming more valuable both as collector's items and as beautiful sounding instruments.

4 string Martin
Found in a closet, in perfect condition, what appears to be a 4 string, solid mahogney, Martin guitar. Thought it was a uk, but body and neck width and length do not match any such measurements found in Martin's data base. Instrument is in near perfect condition, with traditional "Martin" name on head. Any ideas what this is?
Re: 4 string Martin
Its a Martin 0-15T, if you give me the # I can tell you the year.

S W G Stinger Guitar
Hi,
I have a Stinger Guitar that a relative gave me. would you tell me a little something about this brand of guitar? #7080175.
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: S W G Stinger Guitar
Here is what Martin Co sent Me:
Thank you for contacting us. Martin did not keep record of the
serial numbers on the Stinger Series, therefore, the history on
this series is very limited. Here is the information that I have available. In November, 1985 Martin introduced the Stinger Series solid body electric guitars. Made in Korea, these guitars became widely accepted in a short period of time. Stinger, like Sigma, was brought into the Martin factory, inspected, and set up by C. F. Martin personnel. They were available in a variety of popular styles.
The ST-2 is a lead guitar. Our records are very limited, however I believe this model has an Indian Ash body and Maple neck. The original cost was $186.00.
Thank you for your inquiry!

I bought a sigma\martin for $300. I was wondering if it was worth it. Also the 7th fret is a double dotted one.
