I really need to replace one of these. Anyone know where I could get one or how much it would be?

: I'm not sure if this message made the follow-up posting or not. My apologies, I'm not much of a computer geek! Anyway, I have a FG 470 SA in Mint condition. Never did learn how to play so it has about 20 hours on it. Give me a reply if still interested. Take care! Cheers! p.s not sure about pricing, but I just want to get a "Fair and Reasonable" price for it.

Hello,

Yes, I would be interested. Please send me an email and let me know how much you are asking for it.

Thanks,
Carlos.

Re: Yamaha FG 470 SA

I've still got one of those dunno bout sellin' though. They're hard to come by. I bought it beacuse it was the best machine I could find and at the time I was not concerned about the price ($300).
It has a terrific action and is best fitted with high guage strings for the best sound. If you have one of these then either keep it let someone with high base requirements buy it. It is a beeaauutifull machine !!!

Yamaha acoustic Fg - 470 sa

How much was it originally i have 1what is a reasonable price should ask for in Excllent

Re: Yamaha FG 470 SA

don't sell it, it's worth a lot.

Re: Yamaha FG 470 SA

: I agree...Do NOT sell it. Take it to a luthier and have him set it up for you. Put some Martin lights on it and you will fall in love with it all over again. Happy Second Honeymoon!!!

Re: Yamaha FG 470 SA

Bought my 470 new, many years ago. The tone has mellowed to "wow" and its still solid as a rock. The thing is a gem. Use medium Martin silk and steel on mine. I've played Taylor, Gibson, Ovation, and Martin. Other guitars come and go but the Yamaha stays. I agree with the rest --- dont sell, you'll only regret when you cant find anything out there that sounds the same.

I too own one, I got it for $400 with a $100 case, but I have no clue when it was made. Do you happen to know?
