Well Glad to hear this follow up on the Ayers Guitars --> I have an Original Gilet Dreadnought cutaway bought in 2002 direltly from Gilet and its has been a wonderful guitar and thoughly well used (on second refret ) --> I also have several other (useful seconds guitar) until finally I gave up and purchased 2 different models of ayers with very differnet sound patterns. The AC30 model initially started out bright and mimicked the developing tone of the original Gilet model over time. Sustain is as I've seen on all the Gilet models terrific and a very very usable 15 + fret tone. No plinking here... Reliability seems excellent and yes when Gilet is available you get a great craftman willingly helping you and following up his work.. this comment I've heard from a few other players I know who own the Gilet models and nice to hear that this seems to apply to the AYers range...
