thank you
funny i’ve been looking for info or worth of this guitar and i find every type but estrella. i’ve had mine over 25 years easy and a lady wants to buy it. i bught it in california and it has model L60 on the inside label. it still sounds like it did when i bought it. in pretty ggod condition, one broken string. did anyone find a value?
I’ve had an Estrella nylon string for over 30 years. I’m wondering why you may sell yours. I’m considering buying a new guitar and trying to figure out what the one I have is worth. It sounds great but is a bit difficult to play (large for my body type). Please keep in touch & let me know what you find – I will do the same.

This popular thread has been given its own page : Estrella Guitar made in Spain
i have an estrella guitar my mother received for christmas around 1965… saddle, bridge and strings gone, but all else in perfect condition. hoping to restore it.
I have an Estrella that I got for Christmas in 1968. It is still in beautiful condition and has always had beautiful sound. It has one strange flaw though. The dots on the neck are on the wrong frets.
I also have an Estrella Guitar as well. It says on the guitar its the 100th make of the guitar. 🙂 question though, would keeping it be wiser, or seeing how much it could go for right now price wise?
I have one of these guitars, Admira Estrella, which I bought on my honeymoon in Spain back in 1973. It still has the original strings and has hardly ever been played. The company is well reputed in the industry and is still going strong with current student and pro models. Does anyone know what this guitar might be worth.
I found an acoustic guitar in my basement. Inside is an estrella sticker. It says "model L-100" in the bottom of the sticker. I have no information on this brand or model of guitar. If you find anything out please let me know. Thanks!
Can you please email me a picture of the label so I can see if it matches mine?
[email protected]
: I just acquired a classical style guitar, inside is the Estrella sticker and #6 (meaning, I think, the 6th one manufactured). Also says "Made in Spain." Anyone know anything about this guitar? Thanks!
I’ve seen them but unaware of performance. How does it handle?
I thought I had a Stella guitar, but now I see it is a Estrella guitar. It is model L-50 serial no. 2744. It’s not fancy, but it is in good condition and sounds great. the wood on the top is a light tan and the sides, back and neck looks the same, a light brown with visible grain. I bought it at a garage sale around 1978 for about $25.00, which included a case.

I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY EVER CAME UP WITH ANY INFORMATION AS TO THE VALUE ON THE ADMIRAL ESTRELLA GUITAR 9705604423 THANK YOU
I’ve been looking everywhere online for more information on the guitar. It sounds beautiful.
It is in great condition. I showed someone at a guitar shop, and he loved the sound.
I would really like to learn more about the guitar I have. Can anyone help me?
Trying to find even maybe a Wikipedia page for the guitar brand, or a website. Any help would be very useful.
This is pretty cool. I have an Estrella (No 112). Bought it to use as a Rental for my guitar classes, but haven’t wanted to rent it as it seems too nice.
To now know that it is a quality spanish made instrument makes me sure to keep it amongst my Martin and Taylor.
I have the same one
re admira estrella guitars: I have one of these. I have no idea what the resale value is now but I do have a few observations: They’re made of mahogany, and mine is a very beautiful flamed mahogany (and looks like all the pics I have seen on line). On the inside of the sides there is side bracing, which usually indicates solid wood sides and probably a solid wood back. The top also appears solid. The bracing looks like the type of short (not all the way across the side) bracing you see on a Ramirez classical guitar. On the the other hand, the glue job on the inside is a little sloppy. I think any decent sounding (mine is decent sounding) solid wood guitar is worth fixing up and using for someone, although I don’t think this is a professional quality classical guitar. It’s a very good student guitar. I bought mine in Spain when I was about 15, obviously a student and the proprietor of the store basically handed me the guitar and said that was the guitar for me – in part because there was a problem with Spanish guitars cracking in the US due to dry winters and central heating – he didn’t want me to buy any other guitar because of the risk of cracking. I wish he had handed me a Ramirez instead – would now be worth a lot of money! FYI it came with Savarez yellow (high tension) strings, probably to add a little brightness since the mahogany is not a very bright sounding wood. It will probably sound more balanced with a bright sounding string.
I found an Estrella 12-String Aucoustic Guitar, Made in Japan, for sale at my local guitar shop for $99. Seems to be in good condition, top has some bulging but not too bad, action is okay. Is this worth about $100 or more?
It’ would be amusing to have the Company give us background and collectivity value on this Model. I have mine since 1977 and it so sound bright yet warm. Needless to say, we all have vintage guitar, made in spain, and not China or else where.
I propose that we all write to the company and ask why they don’t mention nor reference Estrella in their home page. I am very proud to own my guitar and it has a much higher sentimental to me than monetary value, yet curiosity peaked about its current worth.
If successfull i will post any feedback. Exito!! JRR
Back in the 70’s when I started to write songs, I would record them. I have a shoe box full of cassette tapes I recorded in that decade. Some of the songs were O.K and became part of the Traitors set list. Other songs I cringe when I hear them again

I have an Estrella acoustic/classical guitar with the serial number EG-11 stamped inside on the logo. There is a sticker that says “Steel reinforced neck” on the head just above the nut. The seam has become unglued between the top and the side of the body on about 1/4 of the body to the right of the bridge. It also needs new strings. I bought it at a estate sale many years ago and wondered if anyone had a clue to its worth and is it worth fixing up? What does the split seem do to it’s value?
I, too have an Estrella L-50 Accoustic guitar, and I know that it’s close to 50 yrs. old & in EXCELLENT shape. What would it’s value be and/or how much would it presently sell for?
Hi people,
I need a professional advice, I am about to by an Admira, an electro classical one. Will comebody pls compare 2000-F1 with Admira 1000 Sombra E? I tested both and found 2000-F1 more satisfactory with its higher volume and comfort, and its price is a little higher compared to the latter one. What I am wondering is the rank of 2000-F1 in Admira family, whether it is an old model, and finally how superior it is when compared to Sombra.
Thnx a million
I have a Paloma instrument with 15 strings . Two strings are keyed simlar to a piano There’s a group 10 strings and another 2 strings . It’s eletric. It’s beatiful
Over the years I’ve often thought about you and wondered what you’ve been up to. I wanted to thank you for your kindness you showed me some 12 years ago. I have always regretted my decision to sever my friendship with you. I hope all is well in your world. If by chance you see this drop me a line. I have something that belongs to you and would like to return it.

I hust picked one up for £15 with a soft case.
Im guessing it is worth a bit more than that 😉
: anyone know about this guitar flamed maple back and sides
I have had an Admira Dolores Super since the early 1970’s. Purchased in Spain it has what I would call curly maple, or fiddle back maple, back and sides, and was purchased as a quality back up to my main guitar instead of insurance, so is in excellent condition having been in a hard case, and only occasionally plated since then. Would consider selling, but have no idea of current value.
Did anyone ever decide in American Dollars the value of this guitar. I have had it since the 70’s. It was never used. Still in hard case. thank you for any help.
i have an admira juanita guitar. on the label inside, it has a date that says may 1st 1987. is that actually when it was made???
I have just bought this very new model here in Australia. The seller told me the soundboard is solid cedar, but several UK websites describe it as solid MAPLE top. Can someone please confirm which wood it is. Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I will be picking up the same guitar (Admira Cordoba) this weekend, having bought it through EBAY. I also have difficulty finding out info about it. By checking it’s retail price, it would fall into the category of Admira’s advance guitar range. It should have either a cedar or spruce solid top, and retails for around $500-$600 Australian dollars.
Do you still have? Do you like it’s sound and built quality? I’ll interesting to know your review and I’ll post my own review to you next week.
: I have a admira artesania cordoba guitar which was given as a present about 9 years ago, i was wondering if you could tell me a bit about the guitar, how old it is, what it retailed for and how much it would be worth now. Thankyou for your time.

It’s one of the top guitars of Admira. Others were Artista and Solista models. There was a Solista at the shop when I bought my Concerto Grande; but I liked the tone of mine though Solista’s price was higher. I purchased it in 1990 or 91. Now, my daughter plays it. You may find some details here:

: I have a Admira menina, the guitar is mahogany neck back and sides and has a spruce top absolute quality fiddle back timber from a company that has stood the test of time. These timbers are still the prefered timbers. used today by leading guitar makers martin and maton. I have a original dobro and a US 57 strat reissue.I have had my menina for 35 years, purchaced in 1974-5,the guitar is loud full of sustain.I have installed a set of schaller machine heads, after 35years the old machine heads had died.I have been a guitar teacher for 15 years,I have not heard any better sounding nylon string guitar than my menina
It’s a plank, basically. Average construction, fat neck. I have one which sounds completely dead, little sustain, veiled midrange, wooly bass, dull top. A plank. Nothing to get excited about at all.
Post a pic!
I have a menina guitar by admira. it sounds very good. but dont know how old it is.its in good condition. regards Roy.
: I also purchased an Admira Menina off of the internet. It is in the mail so I have not played it yet. My internet searches have come up with nothing on that model. The Admira web sit is under construction. Most of the sales of the Admira line on ebay are in Great Britian. I would love to know the history on this model so if anyone knows please post the info. Ultimately I just hope it play and sounds good, you never know over the net.
Thanks Steve
: How much did you pay for your Admira Menina. I have one here that was played in concert by someone named Kiko back in the 80’s, and I’m about to list it for sale and have no idea how much to ask. Thanks.

I have an Admira Menina for twenty years and I thought that it was a really bad guitar. But I want to know the history of that guitar, in admira web site Menina does not exist because is too old. If someone can show me a photo of their admira guitar I will thank you a lot.

Hi there i have an admira guitar called menina. it sounds very good. if you would like a photo. let me know. regards Roy.
Yours was the first that sounded anything like the guitar we bought.
Inside the guitar it says Menina, then BM is stacked underneath it.
We didn’t pay much so I’m sure it’s not anything valuable, we’re just trying to figure out what it is.
Thanks for any input – S
.
Just bought a second hand one on e-bay. Have tried the makers web site but can`t find this model. any info would be of interest.
Tom.
I’m from Portugal.
In the late seventies, in my teen years, I tried to learn how to play classical guitar in a Lisbon music school.
My parents bought me a guitar. It was an Admira Menina.
My skills being poor, I gave up learning. And the guitar was kept silent.
Now, my oldest son wants to learn too.
Yesterday, I took the old guitar to an instruments shop, in order to replace the stings. The man in the shop persuaded me to try to repai the comb and to give it a general revision. He told me it is a nice guitar and that a face lift should be money well spent.
Kind regards,
Vitor

I have admira menina, mine is a very old guitar. I don’t recommend it. it is very difficult to play. there are some much better cheap guitars
I purchased a guitar. It is a Admira Menina in almost perfect shape. I wonder if you tell me something about it. None of the local shops seem to know anything about this particular guitar. It’s a nice piece and it sounds great too. I hope to here from you soon.
Thank you – wanting to know more soon,
Hi! Please let me know if anyone is planning to sell Admira Menina, Princesa or Estrella. Or if you can suggest me where I could find them
Thank you very much
i have a admira menina classical guitar, in almost perfect condition.it is quite lightweight. construction. and it sounds.superb. what is your interest in this guitar.Regards Roy.
Lacks sustain?? isnt that what you want with a flamenco guitar! In england with think the classic guitar is what tthe flamenco players play, but from what I have read it’s not, the clasical guitar has too much susstain for the fast playing methods of the Spanish style!
The Admira Menina is a good “basic” guitar, from which you don’t have to expect any troubles.
It’s a plain and honest guitar with quite a good, steady sound.
I just purchesed one for €35,00, for I wanted to have a Classical Guitar in my collection, after giving away (how stupid could I have been) my Vicente Tatay.
Anyway……the Admira Menina is produced in Northern Spain from 1982 untill the late 1980’s.
Its a full grown (4/4) adult guitar with a pretty thick neck.
I would’t advise it for people with really small hands.
If you are looking for a classical guitar for practice and playing small sessions, this is the right instrument to have.
In other words……………….The Menina is a steady guitar with a clear sound. What more can you need?
I really hate ADMIRA distributor in Turkey. After that I will hate all ADMIRA guitars …
Hi everybody…anyone got any idea/s regarding Teresa model & what do you think of this model interm of it sound/balance/action etc..
Thanks for your attentions..
hello.
could you send me a guitar catalog.
Can anyone give me any info on the above model. Its about 25 years old and I need some parts.
I recently purchased this guitar for $25 and was wondering if anyone had some information on it. Most of the Admira models I’ve have looked into either have names or numbers like 1948 etc. I would appreciate any info. Thanks
How would you consider this model? Is it a beginner or a medium player guitar?

Hello sherman
I bought a ritmo t2 in 1986 in spain it cost me (after negotiation £35). I would be interested to know how much it cost to replace too.
I have recently purchased an Admira guitar. I bought it at a very good price, but the brace under the bridge came loose, and is causing it to bow. I am not sure if it cracked the top or not. Is it worth keeping? How can I find out what make it is? What is the average price to fix a brace? Hope to hear from someone. E-mail me!
If the brace simply came loose, it shouldn’t cost much to fix–take it to a luthier. You have to be the judge of whether or not to fix it. How much did U pay for it verses how much it costs to repair. Hope that helps some. If it’s a solit wood guitar, even a cheap one, it may be worth fixing. Hope that helps. Buck

To follow up this question.
I have just purchased the same model guitar and after taking off the old strings I polished the guitar with Bees Wax and put olive oil into the neck then put on a set on D’Addario Pro Arte’ composites at a cost of ÃÂÃÂÃÂã15.49.
The guitar now feels and sounds very professional for a student guitar.
Enjoy

I bought one of these guitars while on holiday in Spain in 1971 when I was 12 years old for £8.00 in a fishing village called Palamos on the Costa Brava. It was in the days when the holiday resorts in Spain had lot’s of brilliant souveneir shops lined with scores of guitar’s hanging around the entire shop. I tuned and tried every one tried out every one that I liked the look of and eventually went for the Ritmo T-2. It was the only guitar I owned until about 15 years ago when I bought a nice looking electro accoustic with a cut away guitar called a Columbus Crest which had a good ring to it but was very hard to play. Then 10 years ago gave me a good friend gave me a beautiful vintage 1970s tobacco red sunburst Yamaha Country Jumbo accoustic (CJ-818 SB). Despite quite a few battle scars, it is very nice to play and sounds fantastic. However, even though my old Ritmo T-2 is very old now with scars to prove it, it is still my favourite guitar. Not just for sentimental reasons. It is very easy to play, (due mainly to its very low action and slim neck) doesn’t buz, stays in tune (even when not played for long periods) and, still sound’s crystal clear with a beautifully mellow bassy tone and it is the guitar I play the most even though I have sevaral other’s now including an easy to play electric guitar. If they still had shops like that in Spain, I would buy another one tomorrow…although, I doubt I could afford what it would cost now!
I too have a Ritmo guitar T-1 18frets.
A spanish guitar made in Spain.
Yes is sounds good. Great resonance. It is unplayable.
Fat and flat neck. Very uncomfortable. My bro replaced the nylon strings with steel ones and the neck broke at the head part. Now after glueing back the neck and replacing the strings with nylon ones the neck is still up and the strings have an angle to the fretboard. What a piece of junk. I going for an Ibanez RG321MH to start learning.
I was in the antiques market in my city (Warsaw, Poland) and I saw a guy selling old musical instruments. One of them was an old Ritmo classical guitar. Fat neck – the kind you need for flamenco and classical. It had crappy old strings… way out of tune…
But – on a lark I picked it up and tuned it – it appeared to have not been tuned for years.
Then I started to play it and almost fell over. Soon a crowd had gathered as I was playing Asturias… then I asked the guy how much… he only wanted about $50.00 for it, so I immediately bought it and love the thing.
You just cant play classic guitar.so it is your fault.all classic guitars have the thick neck. the acoustic guitars have them thiner

Would you also be able to send the guitar to Germany?
I just want to learn how much "Admira mod 2000-F1 Classical guitar" costs?
They range from £350-£500 in UK. you may get ripped off in stores though, if they suggest £700, dont go there! Oh yeah, there are only 2 in the UK

Hello. I started playing guitar about a year ago and i am now learning classical guitar. My father has an Admira guitar that he has now given it to me and i hoping to find out some information on it.
The model is "sonia" and it says it’smade at zarauz -spain – for F. P. & Co. I hope you can send me some information about this guitar and i look forward to rerceiving your replly. Thank you
I’ve got an Admira Avila for the last two years. I’m very happy with the quality of the sound. However I find it a little bit hard to play. I mean, playability is not excellent. Does any of you, Admira users, had the same experience in this regard?
Sincerely
Marcelo
Yes, i found a free avila but with a hole in the back and problems with the tuning heads. The guitar was hard to play because the action was so high so i customized it with a lower nut, and a custom lowered bridge setup. I just purchased another one for 130 US and will lower the action once again. I think this is a guitar worth taking to a luthier to have the action lowered for you. good luck.: Sincerely
: Marcelo
