hi everyone. i have a juan estruch guitar mod. 100. my father bought it in the mid 1970’s. does anyone happen to know what the value of this guitar is? doesn’t have to be right on, just in the ballpark.
thanks,
dave
An old flamenco juan estruch guitar of the mid 70’s is presently for sale in a guitar shop near Rambla.
Price is 680 e, sounds well but not in a perfect condition ( but look rather nice anyway). Similar model seen in Paris last year, looking like new, for sale at 1000 euros. the original receipt of the 1st sale in 1974 was, in pesetas, an amount that, given inflation and interest rates since 1974, would give more or less the same price. So, estimation is, according the sound and the condution of the guitar and the country of location – cheaper in Spain of course – between 600 and 1000 euros.
I have a Juan Estruch guitar made in 1976 and was wondering what the value of it is…Inside it says MODELO 3cto and it also says GARANTIA K204…made in Barcelona Spain…thanx.

Hi, my name is Dylan and I am interested in Juan Estruch Guitar for $90. My email is [email protected], could you send pictures, info, year of make etc… ? Thanks
Can anyone out there help me please? I have been offered a Juan Estruch guitar by a friend of mine who says he bought it in the early 1960’s. I am not familiar with this make of instrument and would therefore like to know how it compares with other famous names like Ramirez etc. Also how do the prices compare?

– YES! I bought a very short scale 12 string from the Estruch factory-shop in Barcelona in 1970. While doing some research I saw your posting. I’m selling mine on eBay and I was trying to see if they still make them, get a current price, etc. It seems that Estruch is only making standard Flamenco and classical models now, but he used to make all manner of folk instruments. It’s a curious piece, no? Good woods, mediocre craftsmenship, good sound. I played it in a 70’s garage blues band using a slide! Please send me a photo so I can see if mine matches yours. Make sure you give me your email address so I can send you a photo of mine and my ebay auction number. Jeff 1/5/06
I have one too… It came with a mandolin type tailpiece that someone screwed in. and some joker was using steel strings on it… I wish people would stop ruining perfectly good instruments with the wrong tension strings!!! Anyway, I look forward to checking out the sound this thing makes after a trip to my guitar shop today… Do you have a 12-string set for classical guitar?
I would love to see your 12-string Estruch guitar to compare notes… please send me your pics and I will do the same…
hi jeffery, my e-mail is [email protected],let me know yours and i’ll send you pics of my 12-string

I too bought a Juan Estruch guitar, a beautiful classical. In Barcelona in 1975 I walked into his shop and met Juan himself. I still have the guitar, case and all the paperwork. Wouldn’t sell it for anything. It is as nice in evey way as my Contreras (made by Manuel.. not his son).

Hi
I have an Estruch guitar I would like to sell.
The yellow label says “Estruch,
Barcelona, Ano 1963.
The number 12 has been written at the bottom of the printed label.
I have no idea what the instrument is worth.
Can someone assist?
Many many thanks
While visiting Barcelona in 1972, I bought a guitar at Juan Estruch’s shop. I never learned how to play it, so it’s been setting in my den. It has the Juan Estruch Barcelona sticker in it.
Would anyone be able to tell me approximately it’s worth. I do not know the model.

Hello:
I am a Spanish boyand I want to know how much can I get buying my Juan Estruch guitar, CTO-3 built in 1976. thanks for helping me.
I have an OLD Juan Estruch flamenco guitar. I know it’s at least 50 years old, but want to find out just how old it is. There are no numbers on the label. I was told by a luthier (who did some repairs) that it’s signed and dated…but I can’t find the signature/date.
Any ideas would be helpful.
thanks.

My 1965 Estruch (classical with solid cedar top and solid rosewood back and sides) does not have signature and model number, either. However, there’s date to indicate the year it was made.
