Someone left my V-64 (6-string) at the Waste Transfer Site. Two tuners missing; replaced all tuners w/ 3-on-a-side from a Stella. No pickguard. Steelwooled off the gloss finish, oiled ; waxed body. Polished frets, oiled fingerboard. Replaced/cut new nut. Could hardly wait to restring and strum! Turned out to be a very solid guitar with a fairly full, balanced sound. Rivals my F Hashimoto (another obscure late '70's guitar). Trussrod adjustable; the original cheap tuning machines from Japan would indicate '71-'72. Serial #242211. Anybody able to date these from the serial?
