This is a shot in the dark but after looking at the website I can tell you folks know what you’re talking about.
I’m interested in a blem acoustic guitar. The sound is great but there is seperation of the finish on both sides of the heel of the neck from the back to the top. It seems either the heel has shrunk or the sides have moved. For the sides to have moved they would need to have shrunk along their length. The neck is mahogony and the sides are rosewood. Perhaps the finsh was simply put on too heavy at the joint? The neck is not loose and the guitar plays great. Any thoughts on what the problem might be and if it will lead to an expensive repair down the road. The guitar is a Guild GAD50 dreadnought made in China.
I’m setting up an SG and want to know at what height the stop tailpiece should be, and at what angle should the strings be between the tailpiece and bridge.
what would the costs be in putting on a whole new neck/or even a usedneck on my APX?

What would be the cost to replace the neck. The nature of the damage would probably not allow a repair.
Many Epiphones with the bolt-on neck show damage at the sound hole due to the neck block shifting. I have a Texan 12 with a slight case and would like to fix it. Why? How?

My son accidently dropped his Zak Wilde Epiphone on a concrete floor. He is devastated as it took a good size chip out of the back side of the guitar. Is there anyway to repair this so it’s not so noticable. He’s only 17 years old and has worked hard to pay off this guitar. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you…..

I would think a good wood filler would do, then use a fine 300 grit sandpaper, prime it (the better quality primer you use, the better it will be) then a decent nitrocellulose paint and laquer. this is the way i fix guitars. i have done it several times and have always been satisfied with the results.

take some sort of say jb weld smear it on then sand and buff it next paint it and then clear coat it….i work on many guitars..i have done this and it works well if you could describe it better..i build guitars and might be able to answer your ? better if you email me the details .

I need to take a jack out and solder a wire back on it. my question is there a tool that will make it possible to grab the jack and place back into position after repair, the guitar is a Epiphone Gibson (Shereton)

I own and love an Epiphone Sheraton II. I too, did not like the "e" logo. I removed it, with-out scratching the pick guard with white tooth polish, water and a soft rag. Apply the tooth polish, add just a drop of water and rub hard. I used a pencil eraser to get the biggest part off and then used the above concoction to smooth and polish the rest off. It takes time and patience but the results are worth every minute.

I am considering purchasing a "starter" Acoustic guitar from Epiphone, and I do not like the look of the white Epiphone loge "E" on the pick guard. I was wondering, if I bought a new Epiphone acoustic guitar if you could safely remove the "E" without damaging the pick guard.If you can, how would you do it? I am in Lisle Illinois. Where are you located?

Hi, I have an Ibanez 540 Radius, that seems to have a dead spot in the neck. On the low E string from about the 13th fret up to the 22nd, the tone is extremely muddy and unclear. I had a guitar tech level and dress the frets, but that did not work. I get the same type of tone out of the E string when the guitar is unplugged. Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated. If i were you brian, i would raise the action on the at the bridge slightly. As it’s an ibanez, you’ll probably need a really small alan key. Just turn about a quarter turn and try, if not quite there another and so on.

I have a Yamaha Pacifica Strat with one vol., one tone knobs, 2 single coils (stock), and 1 humbucking pickup (4 wire-Gibson 490T, green, red, white, black wires). I have a few questions:
-What is my guitar setup concidered, serial, parallel, in phase, out of phase…?
-How do I install a toggle switch to switch between the humbucking mode and a single coil mode? I have the red wire of my hb pickup going to the switch, black and white soldered together, and green grounded.
If you could answer my questions at your leasure, that would be greatly apreciated.
