Hi,

I am thinking of buying a Charvel Acoustic guitar out of the paper. However, I can't find much information about them. Should I be very careful or is this a good find. The gent wants $300.

Thanks,
Todd

value of a charvel/jackson

i have a charvel/jackson acoustic guitar, and am having a hard time finding any info on it. I believe it was made in 1993 the model number is 125S-NAT. Everything i find is on an electric/acoustic. It was made in Korea. Its a beautiful guitar with a great sound,

Re: Charvel Acoustic

My Charvel is rock solid and has a great sound. They're pretty "rare" as far as manufactures go. Have the guitar checked out before you buy, if its ok go for it!

Re: Charvel Acoustic

I hav a damaged one that I found in someones garbage it had a broken neck that I fixed and someone offered to buy it from me I'm wondering how much I could sell it to him for so I don't rip them off or let them rip me off

Re: Charvel Acoustic

to answer Todd,
Charvel is an ok sounding guitar,
they fret moderately easy,
and they are nice looking.
but for $300, i wouldn't buy one.
my bro-in law has one,
he paid only $200 for a brand new, full size cutaway.
if you are going to get a used guitar and want to spend $300 dollars,
i reccomed you just buy a new Yamaha F-310
acoustic.
i have one of these,it is higher quality,
easier fretting,and sounds better than
the Charvel, and my cousins Fender acoustic.
it's a very good buy for $300 brand new.
but to answer your question directly,
i would not spend $300 on a Charvel, new or used.
i'd say you should think about it long and hard, cause that is a lot of money.
hope i helped.
Anthony.

Re: Charvel Acoustic

I know this may be too little, too late but I've had my Charvel Acoustic for 9 years and it's rock solid. Everytime I tell some guitar person about it they ooh and aw. I think they are special (rare) as far as guitars go.

Re: Charvel Acoustic

Yep I have a 550 for years I thought it was a cheap laminate until I made a soundport on the side upper bout. and discovered its all solid wood, Spruce top and mahogany back and sides, funny thing is I wanted to upgrade to a Takamine so I took my guitar along with me, the salesman could not believe his ears, and called a few others around to try to judge which was better, I left smiling with my 550 in hand and not spending a cent - . changes I made were put Tusq saddle and nut and play with light phosphor bronze strings Enjoy
