I just bought a Jackson from a friend. I was wondering how much it was worth when he bought it but don’t know the model and can’t find the serial number (9692411) on the Jackson Guitar site. Is there another way to find out about this guitar from its serial numbers?

I have a jackson dxmg and the knobs crackle
Go to Radio Shack and buy some tuner cleaner(for electronics), open up the control cavity and use the little tube to direct the spray directly into the potentiometers. Work the volume and tone pots and the noise will most likely disappear. I did this on my old Charvel and it has given me no more trouble. Scott
wish to buy new jackson.please send catalog to 1651 powers ave East Meadow, NY 11554
Hello,
I am looking for the manufacturer of Jackson guitars. I have order 2 from a store that says they are not going to fill the order due to Jackson manufacturer. Is this true? please let me know.
Thank
Rita
Rita, you are being lied to.Find another dealer at once.
Jackson guitars is notorious for a bit of a wait for a custom guitar, but their production models can be found at any Guitar Center store, among others. I heard that due to their agreement with Guitar Center for filling new guitar orders, the customs have a 3-6 month wait. I waited 3 months for my Snow White Pearl USA Jackson KE2 and it was well worth the wait. Scott

This popular thread has been given its own page : Charvel Acoustic
My Charvel is rock solid and has a great sound. They’re pretty "rare" as far as manufactures go. Have the guitar checked out before you buy, if its ok go for it!
I hav a damaged one that I found in someones garbage it had a broken neck that I fixed and someone offered to buy it from me I’m wondering how much I could sell it to him for so I don’t rip them off or let them rip me off
email me at [email protected]
to answer Todd,
Charvel is an ok sounding guitar,
they fret moderately easy,
and they are nice looking.
but for $300, i wouldn’t buy one.
my bro-in law has one,
he paid only $200 for a brand new, full size cutaway.
if you are going to get a used guitar and want to spend $300 dollars,
i reccomed you just buy a new Yamaha F-310
acoustic.
i have one of these,it is higher quality,
easier fretting,and sounds better than
the Charvel, and my cousins Fender acoustic.
it’s a very good buy for $300 brand new.
but to answer your question directly,
i would not spend $300 on a Charvel, new or used.
i’d say you should think about it long and hard, cause that is a lot of money.
hope i helped.
Anthony.
I know this may be too little, too late but I’ve had my Charvel Acoustic for 9 years and it’s rock solid. Everytime I tell some guitar person about it they ooh and aw. I think they are special (rare) as far as guitars go.
Yep I have a 550 for years I thought it was a cheap laminate until I made a soundport on the side upper bout. and discovered its all solid wood, Spruce top and mahogany back and sides, funny thing is I wanted to upgrade to a Takamine so I took my guitar along with me, the salesman could not believe his ears, and called a few others around to try to judge which was better, I left smiling with my 550 in hand and not spending a cent – . changes I made were put Tusq saddle and nut and play with light phosphor bronze strings Enjoy

I bought a charvel jackson 550m brand new approx. 25 years ago. It has rarely been played, well looked after. I don’t know a great deal about guitars, so nice to know I have one that is quite respected.
I found a charvel/Jackson used.it has the fort worth tx label made in Korea.its a cutaway.non electric,a brown vintage sunburst with the mother of pearl trim around body of guitar. The guy I bought it from knew nothing about it and had an alverez guitar that he showed me first.same color but itwasnt a cutaway and the front had a sticker on it cause it took a good lick and messed it up. I asked him about the other guitar cause he said he had two.said he thought I’d want the alverez with hardshell case for $300.after playing with both and swing that the charvel came with hardshell case too,I took the charvel.I haven’t seen another like it.closest onevive seen to it was acoustic electro. The guy at our local guitar shop said I got a good deal.it sounds as good as as any good guitar out there.strings matte.I have no clue what its worth but its priceless to me.I’m 47 year young and didn’t start playing until I was 34 years young.cause I was a bad alcohol ic and drug user. It’s changed my life since I started playing.heck, its problem saved my life, considering how I was.I thank the Good Lord above for helping me with a better life style.my first guitar was a Johnson.I’ve had a Washburn,an epliphone and a couple others but still have OK faithful. Not counting my fetish with the led Paul style guitars and amps and all the other goodies I’ve bought.
I am the original owner of a Charvel 550 acoustic. I bought brand new in ’92 for approx. $450 with tax included. 22 years later, it sounds and plays so well that I have no need to go and spend $500 or more for an “upgrade”. It has aged so well and is such a pleasure to play.
hi i have found a charvel 12 string acoustic model 6250-12 , anyone have any info on this & what would the value be ? its in good nick ! thanks terry
i have a charvel/jackson acoustic guitar, and am having a hard time finding any info on it. I believe it was made in 1993 the model number is 125S-NAT. Everything i find is on an electric/acoustic. It was made in Korea. Its a beautiful guitar with a great sound,
I have a Dk2 Pro Jackson. I have totally ruined the neck. i noticed that the neck was slightly warped and stupid me, decided that i
could try and straighten it. As a result i have totally stuffed it. PLease help i think i will be better off just buying a new neck. That’s
how bad it is. I only want to buy the neck.
Could you please advise price plus shipping to Australia.
The neck specifications are as follows: Maple Bolt on, Rosewood with sharkfin inlay, 25.5 inch / 24 frets, With Floyd Rose locking
Nut Space.
Please advise ASAP. I will defenitely buy.
Thank you very much for your help.
