McKenna Resonator Guitars

I recently purchased a laminated birch squareneck resonator from Gregg McKenna and I am extremely happy with this instrument. It has a classic ballsy and harmonically rich tonality all the way up & down the neck. Not even a hint of tinny-ness. Even people who don't know dobros comment on how great this instrument sounds.

The guitar's construction is very solid: quality laminated birch, and all hardware (Quarterman cone, cover, bone nut, tailpiece, tuners etc.) is hi-end. Internally it's got a soundwell. Finish work is not highly ornamental (i.e. no heavy inlay just dot markers) but Gregg is painstaking about stains & finishes.

In summary: This is just a great guitar regardless of price, and it is attractively priced too. I look forward to playing this thing every day!
