Larry Robinson, Fine Custom Inlays

One of a handful of inlay practicioners in the country, Larry has done exquisite work for major guitar manufacturers (Fender, gibson, Yamaha,…), small production shops (Santa Cruz, Collings, etc.), single luthier shops (Klein, Ryan, Olson, Megas, and more), collectors like Tsumura and people who just want something to personalize their guitar.

A Martin guitar, because it is crafted with the best raw materials, and made by world-renowned skilled craftspeople, becomes a magical sensual experience—to completely satisfy personal aesthetics. Our dedicated workers set out to make sure that a Martin guitar will look, feel and sound great from the moment you pick it up. Even more satisfying it will sense that your Martin sounds, plays and feels even better with each passing day—and year. The guitar is characterized by a flat front and back, a slight narrowing at the waist, and ribs approximately 4 inches deep. It is traditionally a Spanish instrument, having entered Spain from Persia about the 12th century. It became known as the Spanish guitar in the 16th century when it acquired a fifth pair of strings. The metal frets on the fingerboard make accurate intonation more or less automatic. The guitar became tremendously popular in Spain toward the close of the 16th century when its adaptability as an accompanying instrument became apparent.
