Neck modification

At the Radiohead concert of 24th Sep. 2000 I noticed that Ed O'Brian had a Fender Strat with Purple LED's instead for the usual ivory fret markers. I was wondering how you would go about such a modification and what tools I would need. Any help would be muich appreciated!

I am looking to replace the original 3 single coils with Texas Specials, and all pots with 500K versions.

No man don't use 500k pots! stick to 250k another thing try kinnan they sound like heaven and without noise, best strat modification! cool home page lots of information about strats!
