I would like to know at what price Martin guitars start? I want to fly over from Europe(Ireland) as its cheaper I think than buying here including the air fare!

Fender makes a Squire SubSonic, which is a baritone electric, with 2 humbuckers,27" scale, tuned in BEADF#B. I bought one through Sam Ash Music online for $199 bucks. It has a three piece neck through body setup and plays like a dream. It also has a string through body bridge and the sustain is awesome. I highly suggest you buy one before they run out of them. There were 58 in stock when bought mine and I have found no other dealer that comes even close to Sam Ash’s price on these blasters. Baritones of this quality are usually over $700 dollars or more. Well worth the money! One more thing though, this guitar will not fit in a standard size case. Buy a bass gigbag or hardcase and it will work just fine for this guitar. Go to http://www.samash.com type subsonic in the search box to get to it

They’re generally tuned B-to-B, which is a little slinkier, or A-to-A, which is stiffer, but brighter & some say easier playing with other guitarists. Sometimes C-to-C for really low sound & very slinky action.String gauges something like .016 -.080.

John Sebastian talks about baritone guitars he uses in an interview at <www.guitarsam.com/interviews/john-sebastian.htm>

Warmoth & WD Music Products make bari necks for mounting on a tele or strat for an instant bari guitar. . . or find a cheap tele or strat in the paper, order a neck & you’ve got a bari for less than a new bari.

          Stay tuned!

dude, check out espguitars.com They have a sweet baritone for the money the ltd VB-300 is a sweet giutar. It has a 27" guitar neck and comes tuned in B. It also has afterburners, you don’t have to use it but it is an extra toggle switch that gives you a 20db boost. The only thing is when you use the afterburner you have to run it off a 12V battery. If you are familar with the esp viper 301 ( a sweet body style based on the sg) the vb-300 is the baritone version.
