  1. At 66, I'm changing my focus of Guitar Collection
    Terry Conrad Martin

Craig Dobbins suggested that I contact you. I’m just curious I started collecting guitar player LPs when I was in my teens. My collection began with the Ventures on the Liberty label I bought as many as I cam across. At the very same time I collected Chet Atkins Lps and have a large collection and there are a few that I’m missing to complete my interest which were on RCA and Camden label. Anyway , I went through a jazz phase buying All the Johnny Smith Royal Roost, Verve lps (keepers for me) Hank Garland collection (keepers for me) Lenny Breau, 2 RCA LPs, 1 Sound Hole LP, 1 Direct to disk LP recording, and numerable Aldephi Lps out of Canada. (Keepers) In addition I have a collection of Ed Bickert out of Canada Lp’s as well as US releases, Tal Farlow, Jim Hall, George Benson, Emily Remler, George Van Epps collection, John Mclaughlin, only one TED GREENE,(keeper) 1 Jimmy Bryant Jazz/Country Then I went through a Telecaster phase collection I have most of Roy Buchanan LPs and Danny Gatton collection. plus a large collection of Steve Morse and the Dixie Dreggs going on I went into A collection of John Fahey LPs and John Renbourn LPs. ( these are extensive too) In my old age, and retired my time is spent playing finger style guitar in the style of Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed Naturally , I enjoy analyzing their evolution and development by listening to their music. I am not a professional musician, however I practice and study as though I were for over 40 years as a hobby. I had to choose the field of Science to support my family rather than the arts my preference . I would like to get rid of any of my LPs considered not “keepers” to try and just have what ever I don’t have by Chet Atkins. My focus is on Chet for my remaining years of life. For all I know , I could drop dead tomorrow, as my best friend from elementary school to present , just recently did. I know you are in the business to make money as your lively hood, so whatever options I have with you I would appreciate a reply. As it turns out I live in Concord, North Carolina near you.
