What you do is work each string by itself. Don't losen or tighten the other strings tension until you have the one you are working on tuned. Once that is done, move on to the next. After the second is done, check the first again. Retune it if needed. Move on to the rest, but remembering to recheck each of the previous strings that have already been tuned. (This is tedious after first, but after a while it becomes easier) ***** Also "NEVER!" take off all of the strings at once -(like when your putting new strings on). This will make tunning the guitar alot more difficult! - But if this is the case, fallow the same guidelines mentioned above. - Keep the strings slightly loose (NOT in exact tunning)at the head/keys. This is because the tunning is done at the bridge of the guitar, instaed of the head. By keeping the strings loose at the head, you are able to pick up tension at the bridge by turning the flat circular knobs (located at the rear of the bridge). You do this in order to lower or raise the tension on the string causing the string to have a more precise tunning and be able to hold the note longer. (You wont have to stop to tune your guitar as often - But it is good to always check - Helps develop your ear).

you just have it in drop c. but put your 6th string in D and your D is your standard like E would be.
