My kids bought me a new Ibanez S-470. Its black with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and a new-fangled floating bridge/tailpiece that is the most easy to adjust I have ever seen. Other than making a few minor adjustments due to changing the strings from .09s to .10s, I am not going to modify anything on it. I plan to install straplocks, and thats it. The guitar is beautiful, easy to play, and it screams, which is what I like.

This one is sort of strat-inspired shape from the front, but I think the reason is simply the logic of that shape, not to mention acoustics and maybe tradition. Any way, I took out Floyd Rose. Replaced cavity with Ironwood. Built bridge and nut, and its time to wire her up,,,,Please advise
Hello, its me incognito. I need some advice. BC Rich with a hb. and 2 single coil p'ups. Singles read @7 to 8 ohms, and hb reads 8.4 or so. Would appreciate switching options and advice.

Best made with new strings and concert pitch, except for when you turn the truss rod. Then you shoud give each string about 6 turns of slack. If its easy to turn, its either broken, or wayyyyyyyy out of adjustment. Anyway, adjust to where there is a gap of .010 inches or so halfway between the 1st fret and the body fret, both of which are fretted when checking string height for purposes of truss rod adjustments. Please bear in mind that I'm talking about electric guitars. If the neck is twisted, I haven't tried to tackle one, so I won't even guess.

I'm looking for a source of tuners for my Ovation Breadwinner (1975). If I remember correctly, these tuners
were encased in a molded black material. The gear stem and the tuning button were chrome. I am willing
to pay a reasonable price and will consider other types of genuine Ovation tuners.
I need some instruction on neck adjustments for a Gibson Les Paul custom and an Alverez acoustic. Both of them have started to get a slight bow in the neck right before where the neck meets the body.

There could be several explanations, but the problem could be very simple to correct. Can you send a pic of the guitars with closeups of the problem? I do this sort of thing with guitars from time to time.

Never played one, but I have a Squier Stagemaster-7 that I'm very pleased with.
