I have a guitar which my Mother bought in 1938
in Virginia. She played it alot, but it's in
good shape. I would like to know more about
its origin, etc. The only thing written on it
is "del oro" on the top of the neck.

I have a Del Oro imitation resonator model, apparently made in the 30's. There is a similar one for sale on Gruhn's website (That's how I identified mine). I'm still looking for more info.

my great uncle was given the same guitar ( Del Oro on the handle ) in 1918 when he was 14 It had been used by his uncle for many years.
