I have one. Its a rare bass paterned durring the steinberger craze
and is serial number 601. Only 1000 were made, so about one hundred a year were built from '82 - 92. My guess is this one falls into '88.
Please remember Warwick is a GERMAN company so most of these basses are in Germany but a few made it stateside. Even fewer (30 to be exact) were custom orders built with a unique flight case that came with a can of German bees wax for periodic finish treatments. So, I got one of the thirty and you could too for the low low price of $4000
US non-counterfeit dollars. Please reply.
HEY, I've got #790. Fretless, bootiful tone... Nice to see so many of them being appreciated. I can't belive it's worth as much as 4000$ though. Bought mine from my brother for 3000NOK (close to 500$).

Hello

Hey! I'm looking into getting another Nobby Meidel bass, preferably in a decent but not execellent condition( so I don't feel bad about putting some mods on it :) ).However all must be in working condition. Would concider fretted or fretless.
Anyone Looking into selling thers for a decent price and not sumthing crazy like 4000 dollars??? If so, please email me.
I've the number 108 of the 950 made. I thinks it dates back to the first production year (82). It has every accesory (bag, stand, stand bag and that strange harm for your belt).
EMG picks and shaller hardware.
I will consider offers about it.

Hi,
I have Nobby Meidel that is fretless with fret inlays made of unknown wood type from factory. It has serialnr: 807. It's in mint condition and a really great bass. I had a custom built flight case made to it as well as the original gig-bag and all parts are original.
If you are serious and interested please let me know and maybe I could discuss selling my "Daisy" :)
I have 2 of the 30 guitars referenced in the Nobey Meidel Story (http://www.warwickbass.com/nobby.html). I believe the 30 Guitars referenced to in the story are 6 string versions not basses. The guitars are similar in design to the basses. Any more comments/feedback? Values...Who knows. Anyone have a spare stand?
I don't believe that these are worth more than $1000 (even those 30 ones). Nevertheless, I wouldn't give it away, as it sounds really nice and has a remarkable sustain as well. And, it is even playable without that ugly shackle. The layout of the tuners is poor but the playability and the sound is great, however.
PS: I have #705
: Hello, I have one too. I,ve by-it for 500 euros in a second hand shop. Soon i'll give the #number. (I usualy ride a motorcicle, so i've to let this guitar in the studio) See you
