Re: Ventura Guitar-V16 12 string

I acquired a Ventura V-116 in about 1978. It was purchased used from a private party. It is a 12 string dreadnaught design. Internal label states "designed in USA buit in Japan" along with Name model and serial #.

This is not a really great instrument but it's at all a bad guitar. I suspect that all of the woods from which it is buit are laminate. It has two '6 strip' tuning machines.

I too, would be interested in any info you folks find.

Searching for an odd model(guitar).

I used to own a very narrow-waisted Ventura classical guitar with brown-and-white checkerboard inlay around the edges. I don't know the model name, but it was well-made, though imported. How might I find another one?

Re: I am looking for a Ventura

I have a classical style Ventura purchased new in 1970, model V-1586, but would not part with it. I would love to know more about the history of this line of guitar. The one I have has held up well and has maintained great sound. Spruce top with mahogany sides and back. Made in Japan. I would love to know who manufactured this line. It was imported by Bruno and Co. The name Bruno is shown inside the body under the name Ventura.

Re: I am looking for a Ventura

V1583 is the model I have. Approx date of purchase 1970. cost about 70$. It has been through heck all these years. Never had a case. Has dings all over and cracks too. But I love it and it is part of me. Actions is incredibly low and so it is fun to play. Sound is not bad. Would love to have another one in mint condition. If you have such a gem, please let me know.

Re: have a Ventura....Please Help

I have a Ventura but I'm a real idiot when it comes to guitars. The model number is v-10. I think it's older but I doubt highly it is classical. I want to sell it and was thinking of putting it up on Ebay. Does anyone know anything about this model guitar? Please help

I have the same model here at home. My parents bought it for me when I Started to play guitar when I was about 10, so I would guess it's a 70's model. It was fairly inexpensive then, under $100....

Re: have a Ventura....Please Help

I have the same model, and bought it at a garage sale in 1997 for $80. I don't know anything else about this little guitar.
