i have one from 66,,, the pickup works fine and is intact,,, my guitar i bought used modified,, i ended up modifying it more getting rid of the pickguard,,grover tuners,,and dimarzio pickup.....also i added a tuneomatic bridge...since theres no value to the guitar anymore...but i love it..
