Have you ever heard of Minerva acoustic guitars? My friend's dad used to play one that was made in 1932. My friend is looking for any information related to this type of guitar. He believes that it may be rare, but not very valuable. He is more interested in the information. Do you have any info, or could you direct me to a web site that would have info, about this guitar. Thankyou very much,

Re: Minerva guitars
In the 1950s, my mother taught me to play a Minerva which my uncle left with her in the 1940s; he asked to have it back in the 70s. Now, after his passing, none of his family knows where it went. I'd like to purchase one, if anyone has one for sale. edward_skakie@bigfoot.com
Re: Minerva guitars
I also own sunburt archtop Minerva guitar that was bought by my uncle in 1937. My aunt shot him in 1958, so getting detail is tough, but my Dad says it was a sears line guitar, top of thier line, (paid 33 bucks for it!). He said they also carried "stella guitars" as a cheaper model. Maybe thier related? I restored this one and it gots a deep bluesy tone. I would love to know more about this thing as it is very specail, to me.
Re: Minerva guitars
Interested in selling it. My cousin has been trying to track one down for years and he is now late 60's. Same sort of background, with an uncle having bought one from Sears back in the 30's

Re: Minerva guitars
I recently bought a Minerva archtop that was missing all the hardware. Could you email a picture to me so I can match the hardware as close as possible. KAMNgtrs@aol.com
