: : What do you know about the history of this guitar

: I'm looking myself. I have a Giannini model #2, serial 18676 dated 12/65. Mine has no marks on the back, yet front edges have wood change of red, and brown variatons.

: Hey, Im glad you posted that last message! I think we have cousins! ( Or close ) Mine is also a model 2 but has a serial No. of 10453. Made 9/65. Yours is the closest Ive found to mine. I recently stripped it because it had been repainted (bad, bad condition when I found her, top separating from sides. Abandoned for junk in the attic of an old garage) To my suprise it has what I believe to be a Imbuia wood top and Brazilian Rosewood side and back. Its like a new guitar now, and a favorite of my collection. Dont know much on backgroung though. Let me know if you learn anything about our guitars. Play on, brother! Greg
