Dear Tony,
I recently bought a 12string giannini craviola from 1972(the same jimmy page had played once).Actually the manufacturer had made a compromise at building a guitar with an incredible sound character but very not one to last forever.therefor not many in good conditions have last - and it's believed to be a rarity.I bought mine for 150 Euros in austria.some believe it's been a great deal and the "survivors" would be woth almost the double of the price they'd been sold once (approx.350$today).
I'm not quite shure about this one,but actually it's a beautyful old instrument, much worthier than the new editions. If you're about to buy one, make shure the top is in good shape!you shouldn't pay more than 250$.If you want to sell it...find someone who obviously is looking for the craviola,or vintage guitars from the 70's.he will pay more.My advice is, better keep it,and be proud you have a still working rare beautyful one from past times!
