: I spotted a guitar sitting on the Curb, to go out with the trash, when I went out for my morning paper. I woke up fast after looking in the hole and noticed Made in Brazil. Ive been in the import/export biz for years and know the Brazilian woods are protected by treaty so they can only be found in older, vintage instruments such as the Giannini. I took in the guitar which needed a good cleaning, new tuning machines and strings. Mine is a 901A Serial No 1158 from 2/69. The original tuning machines appear to be on a silver chassis with Mother of Pearl knobs. Anyone else notice that?
: Ive been playing for many years so this find becomes part of my colletion
I have one I just aquired. 5/69 is this the date of mfg? Mine also has the silver tunerplate with MOP knobs. Age?
