Yairi Guitar Mystery

I recently bought a Yairi classical guitar at a yard sale. It has a date of 1971 and serial #2926. In pencil appears to be signed S. Yairi.
Ideas anyone??? Know where I can get more info on this maker and the possible value? I bought the case....and the guitar was in it....$50.00!!! Have a committed a crime???
