A friend gave me an Epiphone AJ40TLC-NA acoustic-electric 125th anniversary edition. I think it was made in 1998. It is in new condition. What would that be worth??

Re: epiphone electric acoustic
I bought mine for 300$ used a few years ago, though it had a ding. I've seen the regular AJ40TLC used for as low as 150$, but I can't say I know what the difference is. A google for the model number only brought me to this page alone. Any other info from anyone would be swell. Thanks.

Epiphone AJ
It was 1998. I bought mine brand new that year for $489. This model, IMO, stands out from similar models - it seems like they really took their time with the details (binding, tuners, electronics, woodworking, etc.). Put on the right set of strings and you can get a silky, light jazz tone or a bright, shiny acoustic sound. If you can pick one up in good shape for $150, then you've got yourself a good deal. The only thing this guitar doesn't have is good volume projection when played acoustically - and this is understandable since it's not as deep (thick?) as most acoustics.

:I bought mine back in '99 new for $325, though it listed in the shop for $499. I know of another guy who bought one used for $250.
