We can get you a replacement neck however we require the old one to varify the situation, Ibanez will not release necks easily. We can not up grade the neck. a rough estimate of price on the new neck would be around the $450.00 mark. If you would like to go further please contact me by email or ph 08 8377 2272. regards Andrew, Ibanez Guitar Centre

  4. SZ720 series
    Brad Moore

I recently saw the Ibanez SZ720FM and SZ520QM and was wondering if it was possible to get the SZ720 with the quilted maple finish like the SZ520 has but also keep the binding around the headstock and body that the 720 has. I saw the bright blue version of the SZ520QM and thought that if you could the 720 in that colour finish it would be sensational….I’d buy one in a heartbeat. If it’s possible could you let me know.

    Cheers

    Brad

I recently purchased an Ibanez RG 120 from a local pawn shop and need to know the price for a new one. The closest thing I found was an RG 2120 x but that cost over $1,000. Please respond if you have any info.

    Thanks

Try Hipshot HB6Y.They make them for left and right. They will fit the 11/16" peg hole and also the peghead. it’s the only yhing out there right now..

I got an e-mail address for Ibanez, I think it’s one of their techs. He wanted me to send him a picture of my bass, but I don’t have a digital camera. If you could get some clean pictures of your bass, maybe we can get some tuners.

    1. Ibanez ATK triple coil pickup

I desperately need a triple coil pickup for my ATK. A local guitar shop cooked mine when replacing the barrel jack with a higher quality switchcraft jack. Can anyone help? I’m devistated!

P.S. Ibanez has the worst customer service. The part # is listed but no way of buying one. Their reps just don’t give a shit.

  10. i need adivse on Ibanez s7420
    shaun

ok. Ive found the axe of my desire. Ibanez s-7420 which is a 7 string in with the s model body. A couple of places have been asking really high prices but the third place is selling it for half the retail price. This is odd. I am concerned whther it is really a Japanese guitar like the little label on the back says.

http://www.jemsite.com/ which seems to be down at the worst possible time , says that the country codes for Ibanez are 72 -China 73-Korea 74- Japan 76=Japan. the code on the axe ends with 79. what does this mean?

Im sure there was something about it that that made me wonder whether it was Korean or not. the lowest bass buzzed on the lowest frets while Im sure that the other one i played diddnt. please help me out. ive put down a small deposit already but if it aint Japanese its not what i paid for.

the buggers tried to tell me that there was DiMarzio pickups in it but Ive read that theyre Ibanez brand. then they said that the japanese models had the DiMarzios. I find that hard to belive. the sound isnt that hot and heavy. please adivise me. is it japanese? how else can i be sure. are there any quality checks i can make. colour of the fret board even. anything?

    thanks very much

      1. Re: This popular thread has been given its own page :... Jordan
        Jordan

I have one of these myself, if it is buzzing it more than likely just needs setup, maybe the truss rod needs adjusting… As far as the pickups go, all ibanez pickups are made by Dimarzio, they just aren’t authentic Dimarizio pickups, unless otherwise noted(ie: duncan or emg) Just like DUNcan Designed pickups in schecters, they are duncans just not the handwired ones you buy for much more. And I know mine is Japanese, so if it says japanese on the back of the headstock then it is. plus there is a site where you can run the serial number and it tells you where it was built but i havent been there in along time. But if it has an F in the beginning of the serial it is definitely a fuji gen product… hope I was helpful- Jordan

        Hey,
there should be a number on the back of the headstock with "japanese" standing beneath it (Ive got that guitar and its japanese, defintly) if theres neither a number nor that "japanese" tag, its korean or chinese. email me if you have questions!

  13. Machine heads
    Rodger D'Alton

    Hi.

I own a 1973 Ibanez semi guitar copy of a Gibson ES345. According to the catalogue on http://www.ibanezvintage.com website, it is a model 2370. The problem is tha the machine heads are quite worn and the guitar often goes out of tune. Would you stock these parts and if so can you give me price and availability.

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Rodger D’Alton

  14. Thanks guys
    Jenny

I bought my acoustic at the Ibanez Centre a couple of months back. I’m really impressed with the quality of the shop and its staff. I was worried about a buzz on the fretboard and took the guitar in to be looked at. A full setup was done (at no charge) and now it plays like a dream. 101% service.

          Anthony G.

I have a sc500 NNT. Has some MINOR blems. plays wonderfully, no problems with any of the electric elements.

Let me know a price. (this is QUITE a bit after your post, so mostly this isnt going anywhere but I wouldnt mind selling mine)

    1. Re: Looking for Ibanez SC500 NNT
      Shawn

How did you hear about the Ibanez SC500?
I had no idea they even existed until my guitar teacher Sammy showed me one from his private collection. Apparently, they were only made for a few years before they were sued on patent infringement because a smaller manufacturer had already made a solid-body classical electric, so they had to be discontinued for legal reasons.
Sammy said he got his at the guitar store he now works at (he actually took the job whenever he found the guitar) and the owner said it had been sitting in the shop for years and nobody had ever bought it until then. I’ve been looking for one just like it for years. Even scouring the internet, I’ve only been able to find pictures.
I hope I have at least provided information as to its background and the reason behind its rarity. I wish you the best of luck on your search.

I recently bought my Ibanez bass from these guys. Excellent shop. They have an amazing range of guitars and basses and I was really impressed with the commitment to Ibanez. That’s all they carry! The people working there are also top notch musos.
