Hi, Bob.

I see no one has replied to your post, so I'll throw in my 2 cents.

I've seen a new Hopf Virtuoso model selling from a vendor on the net for $6000. Of course, your mileage may vary, but I would think a true concert guitar in excellent condition should be worth several thousand, especially if the years have been kind to it. I own a Hopf production guitar made in 1975 that I paid just a few hundred for a couple of years ago. I love my guitar and would LOVE to play one of Hopf's concert models... I can only dream of what the sound must be like... but, unfortunately, I'm in no position to spend thousands on an instrument.
If you have a good guitar shop in your area (not a "mega store" with thousands of strats on the wall, but a real _guitar_ shop), they would probably be willing to sell it for you on commission. If you have no one close by, I can highly recommend Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta, GA (www.maplestreetgtrs.com). They've sold 2 guitars for me.

Hope this helps,
db
