      I had one about 1998-1999 with a slash style soundhole. The best guitar i ever sold. I have been searching but cannot seem to even find a picture… It was a blue body with a brown back and no visible pickup. It was a piezo under the saddle. I wish i never sold it…

      I’ve found four sites where they are selling ESP explorers…I don’t know wether you are looking for James Hetfield signatures or not. Two of these links lead to LTD explorers (the cheaper ESP explorer guitars…cheap replicas). Another link leads to a black ESP explorer, but with different setup and specifications than Hetfield’s explorers. The last link leads to a "ESP Hetfield Explorer" which costs $1495. The only problem is it is being sold in Hawaii…so shipping costs will be a bitch. Here are the links…

    I have a 1965/66 harmony rocket guitar that was given to me by my father and have been playing for about three years now, And i need a new guitar because it just doesn’t have that edge i’m looking for. It is number 007 (James Bond) out of 100, and it still has all the plastic on it. It is an exact reproduction of Kirks main stage guitar.       Ive got a sweet ESP neck-thru Horizon, back from the good ol days when they were doing some killer neck-thrus. ESP set a retail of over $1900 on her back in the early 90s, so you know just how sweet she is. This beast has the classic ESP pointy headstock, full neck and headstock binding, Archtop contoured body, a killer metallic blue in color, very rare Ebony fingerboard with NO inlays…looks very cool, it has all chrome hardware ie. Floyd, 1 vol, 1 tone, 3-way toggle, 6 inline ESP tuners, locking nut, even a chrome metal pickup bezel. Shes recently had a tune-up including truss rod adjustment to .009 on the low E at the 9th, Floyd adjusted to perfect parallel balance with the body, and the action was set for some killer shredding, then she was restrung with 9s. The active electronics including an EMG 81 at the bridge and a matching SC at the neck make this axe scream through my rack and the EMGs guarantee a killer tone no matter what amp youre driving your speakers with!!! I think I mentioned just about everything….oh yeah, the original tolex covered, black fur lined, ESP logoed, hardshell (WOOD) case is definitely included with the axe. I have pictures for anyone interested…just email and Ill get them out to you.

      Anyone interested? Paid $1200 back in 1999 to Guitar Broker in Florida. They Picked it up from the Dean USA Shop. You can tell right off the bat it’s a prototype. No serial numbers, and there are actually knots in the wood! It’s finished in a clear coat which seems almost like epoxy. Who in their right mind would make a guitar with knots in it? unless you were a technician. Nickel hardware DiMarzio zebras, Big headstock. NICE for the metal guy. One small finish chip lower bout. That’s the way I got it, that’s the way I sell it. Would accept a nice Ibanez Ghostrider in Honeyburst plus cash. Think about it.

      a cutomer told me that these guitars were actually made in Torrington CT by luthier James Ashborne then shipped to NYC by train where they were labelled and sold. You have a rare instrument but of unknown (to me) value

When production started the serial numbers started with 925 Russ’s birthday. My guitar is the Red guitar featured in the brochure and on the web site (not the one wrapped in cloth). I never thought I would sell this guitar. I have a passion for trap shooting and want to but a new prize possession. I was cursing guys that have beautiful trap guns that don’t shoot any more. It then hit me I’m sitting on an amazing guitar that I don’t play and someone else would love to have.

      While the Fan site posted is fairly accurate (I provided the individual who runs it with much of the information on it and i have been cited by him as a "resource" at the bottom of the sites home page) I just want to let you guys know that Signatures are VERY rare. The company manufactured approximatley 500 total instruments -guitars and basses combined overe the 4 or so years they were in production. There are no accurate records to be exact.

      Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to befriended many of the "major players" involved with Signature guitars, many of whom are were/are close friends to Alex.

      I own a 1989-90 Flip Flop Pearl 2nd generation carved maple-top white Aurora with Gold hardware similar to Alex’ in the "A Show Of hands Video" only his has black hardware and is a "flat top" 1st generation. In fact, that one, nicknamed "Great White" is the very first Signature guitar. My Aurora has an upgraded version of the same custom Evans electronics preamped pickup system that Alex had in all of his Signatures. This was custom built, wired and installed for me by Rod Evans himself, a very humble and nice man, by the way. I have also just completed building a mismatched Midnight Blue Metallic Body with a Translucent Red Flame maple neck Oracle (hum/s/hum). These parts are some of the last, if not THE last parts that were left on the assembly line when the factory closed its doors in 1990-91. This guitar does not have the Evans preamp system but I wired the 2 Evans E2 humbuckers and the single-coil E1 just as the factory would have. It also has Gold harware.
      The Evans single coils are absolutley silent and hum-free.
      Neither guitar is for sale. I have much more info on Signatures email me at [email protected] if you want to "chat" about them.

I know that they were a Canadian Company, and they are not in business anymore, but there has to be some floating around somewhere. I am willing to pay a good price for a good guitar.

      does anyone have any info or pictures of an ESP FIREBIRD. i believe they made
      them in the late 80s, but are extremely rare. any info on this model at all would
