I have one, I really like this guitar, I proablly shouldn’t because it was only 50 bucks new, but I like the way it sounds and I like the way it plays. The only draw back to this delightful guitar is the weight, it is a heavy guitar.

      I have got an explorer…

The only way that you can get the same as James Hetfields on his vid is to get it custom made for you…sorry

They have stopped making the original Explorer and gone more Futuristic

  2. Harmony Rocket
    Brenda Johnson

I have a Harmony Rocket Guitar. Could you tell me somthing about it and how much it is worth. All I know is it is a old one in mint condition. The numbers inside the Guitar are 3539H59 and the AMP reads H303A. Everything works and still in its original case with extra strings.

      Ad-Rok

probably too little, too late, but the date is printed under the pick-up. Just unscrew it off, and in plain english, it will tell you the date. That’s gonna let you know how much it’s worth. It vary’s a bit from year to year.

i have a slick 58 harmony rocket in great condition and it’s a ton of fun. i picked it up for 300 something around 5 years ago, who knows what it’s worth.

    3. Re: Harmony Rocket price
      elliot

Ive seen some of the harmony rockets that were around the first made. they had a few minor dings on them, and were going for a modest $350.00 in mint- perfict- condition, you could probobly get $500 to $700. The pricing also depends on the year it was made.
Thats about all i can tell you.

I have a 1994 original ESP Ouija with scull and crossbone inlays. It has a spelling error on graghics so i think it is rare. I want $3500.00 for it! It is genuine.

        Paul Bishop

You can get one from a site called ed roman (www.edroman.com)by the way it isnt "kirks" guitar, its just a standard esp mk 11 with "ouija" graphics.
i suggest you buy a mk 11, put 2 emg 81 on it and get the graphics done at edromans shop. or if your lucky ed might have an esp mk11 with emg 81’s and ouija board graphics in stock. go have a look! you will the find the esp on the main page under esp guitars. it also has jame’s jh 1 on there and some over call crap. hope this was useful to you.

I’ve got a Sovereign, a couple of Stratotones, and a Rebel (with lots of knobs, sliders, and switches). There was a time when Harmony made guitars for just about everyone – even Gibson. Cheap is good, uless you’re a brainless snob!

I have a 1966 model H-76, it has been missing a volume knob for many years. The knob is almost clear but has a yellowish tint to it(don’t know if color is original or due to age). Do you know where I can get one of these knobs? I have in the past found similar ones but the hole for the shaft is always too big. Thought you might know where o get an original. Thanks

Hi! My husband rhapsodizes about the ‘Mountain’ acoustic guitar, and I was hoping to locate one and possibly purchase it for a great Christmas present. Can you help me find this elusive creature?

: I have a Mountain Acoustic guitar, some how it made it’s way to the UK. It’s a D28 copy.

: I would love to know more about the origins

Last year I bought a 1973 Mountain acoustic, it is a very good copy of a Martin D-41 & is a beautiful instrument with solid rosewood back & sides, solid spruce top mellowed to a golden brown color. I am of the opinion that it is Brazilian rosewood but have not authenticated this yet. It has the Mountain logo inlaid vertically in abalone like Martin on the rosewood headstock & there are large abalone inlays on the rosewood fingerboard, inlay around the top & soundhole. It has a wonderful mellow tone & is LOUD with great sustain. Looking inside the soundhole, on the back brace is engraved ‘Handmade’ & the name of supposedly the luthier (Mayashi?) who crafted it. I cannot find much out about this guitar but I love it, it is a superbly made instrument, great sounding & beautiful to look at. If you find one, & they seem quite rare, they are well worth investing in.

Moutain Guitars were imported by Music Imports LTD, in San Diego, California. I have no idea if that company still exsists. I have a small "parlor" Mountain Guitar which is a wonderful copy of a Martin. It is all solid wood, Rosewood back and sides, with a Spruce top. I purchased it used about seven years ago for $300. If you find out any information, please let me know.

        1. Re: searching for a 'Mountain' acoustic guitar
          Skip

I have been searching for info on Mountain Guitars as well. I did talk to a woman at Music Imports LTD a couple of years ago and she remembered the guitars, but couldn’t give any further facts. Mine is a Martin 000-45 copy, complete with abalone headstock inlay. It is supposed to have been previously owned by Suzanne Vega. The search continues…

          1. Re: searching for a 'Mountain' acoustic guitar
            Jimmy

I have one that I just got refretted and refitted after it’s sitting in a case for about ten years. Bought in San Diego for $185 back in 1983. Has a Martin dreadnought spruce top (or I was told it came from a Martin) and abalone inlay on the headstock and a flower design on the fretboard of abalone also. Sounds great, and better than guitars you can buy for twice the price. I wish I knew more about it’s orgins.

I bought a second hand Mountain W300 model guitar some years ago for £10.00 steirling, I have been looking for information about it ever since, It is a great player and constructed very well with exquisite marquetry and mother of pearl inlays, it has and is a joy to own………..

        3. Re: searching for a 'Mountain' acoustic guitar
          Dan Kluger

I’ve heard that these guitars are no longer made (I also have a small Martin copy which I love — found in a pawn shop), but I’ve noticed the same headstock inlay on some of the fancier Blueridge guitars. Maybe Mountain was bought by Blueridge at some time? If anyone has more information on the history of these guitars, please post and cc to my email address above.
          Thanks,
          Dan
