I just bought an American Mandolin Harp from approximately 1900. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can purchase a "chord thumper" or a "tuning key" for it. Any help would be appreciated, thx glen

i have one of the above mentioned harps by The Home Educational Co. that, i’m guessing, is about 100 years old. the strings were left tight and the harp box is sprung along with some other minor problems. do you make repairs on this type of instrument? alex

I just purchased one of these for my mom. Does yours have the handle? Do you have an instruction book or know where I could get one?
        Thanks,

I have a similar instrument just purchased on e-bay. Would really like info on it. On the inside it says "The Home Eductional Co., Concord, N. C. Same patent date.
Does any know what device you would use to tune it. (tighten and loosen strings). Any music or instruction books available?
            Thanks in advance

You can find several sites that give much different information if you do a google search. How to play, music to print and play etc. You use a "special key" to tune the instrument.

shove your so-called vintage 50’s stratocaster where the sun don’t shine. i’ll buy a brand new one for less than a grand. yours probably is less than ten years old anyway, jerk-boy.

: If I was gonna spend less than a grand on a strat, I,d just be starting out. Aren’t they the ones that all the really doped up artists smash on stage? Hey, I’ll be glad to smash yours

        2. Re: Vintage Fender Stratocaster
          crappy guitar hater

: If you think that you can buy a strat that sounds like a vintage 50’s one, I’d like to see it! They don’t make them like they used to, and I don’t think you could find a better guitar than a vintage one. I already own a vintage 68′ Tele, semi-hollow F-hole, and it rocks deep bottom distortion better than your cheap bottom line strat that you probably got off of the internet from some fag dealer who doesn’t know anything about guitars anyway. So I’ll keep my rockin’ vintage guitars, while you play your out of tune $150 cheap ass strat. you sound like you can’t play one anyway, so who cares if it’s out of tune. You might as well sell it for firewood, and really get your money’s worth. Jump off a bridge, and take your shitty guitar with you
