I am trying to find an approximate date of manufacture. It is a S/N 0122 and the alpha character comes after the number unlike the F60 it if 62F. Beautiful condition. I believe it was only a few years they were made

A very underrated bass, it has very good overall sound with flexibility. Mine is a -85 cherry red beauty, with it I have played lots of gigs, but the best place for this one is the studio. You just plug it in to the D.I.-box and you're ready to go. The deep end is very clear, not mushy at all, very easy to eq. And if you want, you'll also find that rock-klang, especially when played with a pick.

As I said, it's an underrated bass, price changing between 300-800€. Epiphone made (I think) Explorers for a while, they were prized at 1200€

My Old Fender Squier Stratocaster

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about my Fender Squier Stratocaster. It has the "Big 1970's" Headstock, with the 70's lettering, and its serial number is SQ25808. I was curious as to where it originated from, and the year it was made, plus anything else. I am most curious because, it plays, and sounds great for a 'fake Fender'. It gives a real (American) Stratocaster a run for its money. Maybe not quite as hot as my sunburst Fender Lone Star Stratocaster, but close!! Thanks!

Would seriously consider making an offer on a rare guitar that is not really sought after at the moment. Traditionally, most Explorer players want the two humbuckers standard version.
I want this guitar for utilitarian purposes mostly, so no 4 figure returns on this request please. Blue Book says around 400-600 for excellent to mint condition...I will give 700 for the right guitar.

I am in South Africa, My G-80 was valued at 1200 Rands, 7.5 Rands to the dollar currently so you do the math.

I have about a 75-78 model Gibson Challenger. It sounds real good and has a plastic hard case. Black finish. Can't figure out how much its worth.If anyone is interested post a message or e-mail me.

I have a 1964 Gibson Thunderbird
with two mic´s. # 160033. Bought it new in 1964, used it to 1970 when I stopped playing,
I stoved it away in the hadrcase (as new) in 1970 and just found it the other day. It was in sunburst, but the laquer started to peel of so I grinded the rest in 1970. What could it be worth?

Hi Nico, I just got my 1962 Fender Jazzmaster reissue from Musician`sFriend.com and it looks and plays like my original `63 & `64 Jazzmasters I`ve owned in the past.
However, the price is rather high, $1,369.99 for the 3 tone sunburst i ordered, but it definitely is worth it.
They claim to have the lowest prices around. If your girlfriend has the time while in New York, she might want to call The House of Guitars. It`s located in Rochester, NY.
