A very underrated bass, it has very good overall sound with flexibility. Mine is a -85 cherry red beauty, with it I have played lots of gigs, but the best place for this one is the studio. You just plug it in to the D.I.-box and you're ready to go. The deep end is very clear, not mushy at all, very easy to eq. And if you want, you'll also find that rock-klang, especially when played with a pick.
As I said, it's an underrated bass, price changing between 300-800€. Epiphone made (I think) Explorers for a while, they were prized at 1200€
