Re: Jeff Buckley - Strange fruit!
The song is in D minor. The Sine recording is flat though, so you'd have to tune a quarter step down to play along.
Here is The basic chord sequence (Southern Trees etc...):
Gm / Gm / A7 / A7 /
Dm / Dm A7_E / Dm_F
Gm A7 Dm A7/E Dm_F A7b13 D#7b5
e---3-----(5)---5----9------10--------------
b---3------5----5----8------10-------6------
g---3------6----6----9------10-------6------
D---5------5----7--------------------5------
A--(5)----------7----7------8---------------
E---3------5----5--------------------5------
The A7b13 is sometimes played instead of the A7. (Not the first two times though)
Scent of magnolia....
(C) Bb / Bb / A7 / A7
Bb / Bb / A7 / A7
And a solo kind of thing with this chord sequence:
Dm / Dm / Dm / Dm
Gm / Gm / Gm / Gm D#7b5
Dm / Dm / Dm / Dm
Gm / Gm / A7 / A7b13
Dm / C / Bb / A7
Dm / C / Bb / A7
That the most important stuff. I hope you guys can use it.

This tab is excellent! You
This tab is excellent! You don't have any comments yet and I doubt you will ever get to read this, but this tab helped me a lot, so you have my thanks :D.
Re: Jeff Buckley - Strange fruit!
Couldn't figure that chord progression for the life of me, really hits the spot. Thanks so much for putting that up!
Re: Jeff Buckley - Strange fruit!
Forgot this:
D#7b5
e--
b--5
g--3
D--5
A--4
E--
And a small correction:
Dm / Dm / Dm / Dm
Gm / Gm / Gm / Gm D#7b5
Dm / Dm / Dm / Dm
Gm / Gm / A7b13 / A7
(The A7 chords were in the wrong order)
