Few years ago, I read a book that really made an impact in my life..a life worthy of second chance..a soul refreshed to impact others..a person willing to make a difference once again. That book is The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren..I’m sure many of you just like me have read some few pages of it and probably were touched and broken as well. That book is still out in the market and still making a big impact to many people worldwide.

Truth is, it may have touched my life and changed me for good, but without sharing it to people, I’m not serving my purpose..so let me start by sharing the author’s quote from his book.

Friends, I have been in a crisis of worry,doubt and insecurity..with all hopes, dreams and plans i have in mind..it’s so overwhelming to think and all the more to achieve those things. My life has always been set with goals that i thought would be great for me and for my family and future family as well.. a life that i thought would be of good purpose. Crisis because there is a purpose, yes, yet i always thought its not feasible. Let me share with you a good example.

Nearly 2 months from now, i will take the Medicine Board Exam..an exam that will determine my career so i could pursue another dream and be able to see my family abroad finally for almost 5 years. Struggling with time and health…i also struggle with fear of not passing. Before i knew it, i’m also struggling with my trust and hope with God. I asked myself again this question,"What is my purpose". To be good in everything i do?.. to be the best that i can be?…to pursue all my dreams? Well, let me think again by reading this quote, a reminder from the book.

"The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without purpose. "

If that is my purpose, what if i fail?what if tragedy comes?where will i go?

What a sweet and heartbreaking reminder that God told me.

The purpose that the book is referring to is not ours but God’s. The purpose is not dependent on the outcome, it is a lifestyle of faith and trust with Him that no matter what happen..may it be death..we live with the purpose..to give your all, your fears, your life to Him. That is the sole purpose..nothing more, nothing less..

I want to go back to my purpose..my God’s purpose. All these fears i cannot handle without God. Tragedy is just the tip of the iceberg..underneath is a huge wonderful purpose of God in me..and wherever He leads, I will follow.

Friends, i also encourage you..you don’t have to be afraid..besides you can’t handle the fear. Let us all go back to our purpose and for those who still don’t know their purpose in life..i encourage you to read the book again and most importantly a simple prayer to God..ask Him and I’m sure He would tell the same.."Make your purpose My (God’s) purpose".. I love you all!!!
