Well, I sat down one night with 3 videos of him, and pretty much figured out his technique. I can tell you right off the bat that I cannot write out his music...there is way too much to it. The only real way to learn his stuff is by ear and by watching him play. What makes his stuff hard is the fact that he is in normal tuning, just tuned down on full step (tune low E to D, then tune from there). Mental Instra is in this tuning, but you gotta learn to slap to play that one. Hope the tuning hint helps!
