I heard a great Blues song on the local radio station, KPCW which is an NPR affiliate, here near Park City, Utah. I didn’t call them right away and now none of the volunteer DJs seem to know what the song was. The lyrics that are repeated over and over very slowly and clearly at the beginning and end of the song are "She asked me why, so I went on and told her". There are some lyrics in the middle of the song which were more difficult to make out but the accompanying guitar is very classic, distinctive and possibly familiar Blues. Please help? Thanks, Brian

SURPRISE!
Here’s three Tedeschi songs I tried to transcribe on my own. If they’re not dead on (which they very well may not be), they’re pretty close. Feel free to send suggestions for tweaking. I don’t have time to write out lyrics, or placement in song, so just know that C – C/B – Am and the like are usually bass runs, so the C/B is not meant to be held – only strummed once.
In return, if anyone has "I’ve Seen All Good People" by Yes, drop me an email, won’t you?

"Blues on a Holiday" – Susan Tedeschi / Paul Rishell
This is the version of the song that Susan Tedeschi performs on her "Wait for Me" CD (2002). Paul Rishell wrote this gem and is, I believe, backing Susan on acoustic guitar. Here are the basic chords (as I hear them). The picking pattern is simple, but varied throughout the song. Note the descending bass-notes approaching the end of the verse, while the high D remains constant (on the second string): this is a standard blues turnaround that’s given an ingenious voicing twist by Paul Rishell, who’s an undeniably masterful blues guitarist. During the bridge (below), there are one or two pull-offs and hammer-ons on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings of the Bm chord.

"Blues on a Holiday" – Susan Tedeschi / Paul Rishell
I tried posting this twice last night, but saw that it came out very unclearly, so I re-did it. Hopefully, this time it’s a bit more legible! (If anyone has any questions, don’t hesitate to write.)
This is the version of the song that Susan Tedeschi performs on her "Wait for Me" CD (2002). Paul Rishell wrote this gem and is, I believe, backing Susan on acoustic guitar. Below, you’ll first find diagrams of all the chords. Nnumbers indicate fret; "x" indicates string should be muted). Below the chord diagrams is the actual chord progression (again, as I hear it).

This is a tricky one,I know….
I am after a song, dont know the singer or the title.
Its NOT old. The lyrics go like this:
"I’M SO SAD THAT THE BLUES ARE FALLING LIKE A POURING RAIN"
or something to that effect!
Do you recognise those lyrics? Do you know the song title or singer?
Can you indicate a way to find out?
Thanx
Feels like rain? Robert Cray

Angel from montgomery is easy– Simple chord progression of D-G-D-G-D-G-A-D for verses- and chorus is D-C-G-D
Chorus example in chordpro- Make (D) me an (C)Angel, that (G)flies from mont(D)gomery
Verse- (D)I am an old woman (G)-(D) Named after my mother(G) -(D)–
well-write me if you want more help-this is my first ever attempt at posting anything and I just tried figuring the song out myself-but i think thats it–dave matthews does a good version of this song as well, except in G, not D-hope it helps!

Just wondering,
Chase
