: Anyone know where I can find the chords to Let’s Dance, by Chris Rea. I Know the main part is D and G but there’s another riff that I can’t quite get.The bass run is….stay on G…then…A…then B…then back to G and A. But this is my bass line and I am ok but the other guys are having trouble with it. Can anyone shed any light on any chords that are not D and G?

Are you the same Tony Dodds that attended a camp in Maine from about 1977 to 1980? If so, its a small e-world. I was looking for music for my wife and I saw a guitar-related reference with your name. When I saw this note regarding piano, I just had to write. Anyway, hope all is well. If your not the Tony Dodds that went to Robin Hood and the Pomfret school…sorry to bother you.

    2. Re: i actually tabbed it
      Steve Cotter

I have tabbed the song out nicely for my own edification and for other people’s i guess.

I spent a good amount of time listening to the song and the only thing i borrowed from that other guys tab was the capo on the fifth fret. the tab is complete with all the neat little riffs that you enjoy.

I do not, however, know how to post to any tab sites, since this is really the first tab i’ve done, so if anyone could help me or post it for me, i would appreciate it.

          Doug Nelson

Post or e-mail this tab! With its appearance in Royal Tenenbaums and the new K-Mart commercial, it’s going to be in demand pretty soon. you’ll be famous!

Good call Toshi. Could you email a file as well. I’m getting unusually anxious- I’m hooked on this song, but don’t possess the mastery to figure it out myself. Thanks dude.

      3. Re: i actually tabbed it
        murls

Wow man, I’d love to see that thing. Really you just pick any site, a good, general (non-olga) site is guitarnotes.com. They’ll prompt you to sign up for free when you want to submit a tab, and then you can post it there. I guess I’m assuming that you already have the tab worked out in electronic form . . . if so, you’ve already done the hard part. Let me know what kind of progres you’re making, or of any questions, and I can be of more specific help.

            1. Here's the Intro tablature to "These Days"
              Michael

I was looking around for the tablature to "These Days" and came across this site. It’s an amazing song and though I’m not a guitarist, thought i’d like to try and teach myself the tune. Some of the tabs I’ve seen here are very good but since none were 100% accurate I decided to try one. I’m using the "~" symbol to represent a hammer-on. Please view with a fixed width font. Enjoy!

              Alex

I think this is better, plus I took the liberty of adding the chord patterns. I couldn’t get the "repeat 3x" bullshit to be in the right place but you guys are smart, I have faith you can figure it out. It still probably sucks.

Looks like you got the verse chords pretty much right. I played around a bit with them and it’s basically a C Em F patter for the verse, then it goes to an Em when she sings …These Days.., then back to an F and then the melodic chord that ends each chorus is one that I don’t know the name of but it’s played like this:

                2nd fret 4th string
                3rd fret 5th string
                3rd fret 6th string

strings 1,2,3 are just played open. Hope this helps. Pretty cool tune. Thanks for getting me started on it.

            3. Re: i actually tabbed it, where has the tab gone?
              Alex

Me, too. Not to beat a dead horse, but, I’d like to add myself to the apparent scores of people who want a piece of this Nico action.

              1. Re: nico where are you?
                nick

i have followed this maze of posts around to no avail… please someone tell me where to find a tab of the beautiful song "these days"!!

              2. I tabbed it, too.
                Alex

yo, what’s up everybody. It’s me again. I just could not take it anymore so I took three hours of my life and tabbed the intro. It’s my first tab so there are probably mistakes. Maybe one of yoos experts can touch it up or something, this should just get everyone started. I really hope that it doesn’t get fucked up when I post it… The "repeat 3x" should be over the first little bridge area, and the 4x should be right at the end, boom. If it doesn’t work I can email it.
