  1. Electra guitar that I know nothing about...
    Jesse Savka

I have an Electra guitar, with natural finish, kind of a les paul style body, with the numbers 010021 etched on the back of it. It was supposedly made in the 70’s or 80’s, not sure, but thats what I’ve heard. I’m wanting to know the value of the guitar, and if its some kind of rarity. Email me, as I probably won’t check this site. Any information on this guitar would be much appreciated!

I found a site that might help….The Electra Guitar Page….I have a #2249 Super Rock Custom that I bought new in ’73 and found out that it is becoming a much appreciated guitar, for its sound playability and overall quality. I paid $325.00 for it and think it is worth more now, but wouldn’t trade it for a real Les Paul now.

You mentioned the Electra Guitar Page, but there is no link and I haven’t been able to find it. I got an Electra MPC X730 (shaped like an SG) for $10 at the Goodwill. Yes, $10. I didn’t know if it worked or sounded any good, but it was worth the risk for a through the body neck.

I use to have one and I am looking for one. The model I had came with a composite graphite neck and push/pull tone controls which boosted the volume when pulled. Can you find me one and how much would it cost.

        2. Electra les paul copies
          Chaiyz Brown

I just purchased an electra MPC black les paul set neck copy from an online classified and I need more info on this type of guitar. It’s comming with 6 different modules but they are not hooked up as I’m told. The bridge pickup is original but it’s not wired. The neck pickup was replaced with a gibson 490R and I’m going to need help getting the bridge back up and I’d just like to know more about this new AX of mine.

: I HAVE ALL THREE OF THE EFFECT MODULES (PHASE, FUZZ, & FLANGER.)

There are something like 12 different modules to my knowledge – so you have 3 of the 12. I happen to have the same ones as you except I also have a couple overdrive modules (one I modified), 2 phasers, and the flanger. I would like to have a fuzz module. I also would like the envelope filter module, the octave module, the tube sound module, and maybe some others. I have two MPC guitars too (one of them is quite rare).

I’m looking for fuzz module. I have 9 Electras. 4 are Mpc models they are, an outlaw, les paul, vulcan, 335 style with the tree of life. the non-mpc are a flying V, bass, les paul, a gold top les paul( gibson logo with electra written above it), and a weston/electra strat.I bought my first Mpc Electra in 76,like a fool I sold it in the late 80’s.I wished I had it back. These are great playing guitars.

I have an Overdrive module and the Phase Shifter that came with the guitar when I bought it originally. I am interested in finding out where I can purchase additional modules and the price ranges. I am interested especially in the Flanger. Thanks.

What rare Electra do you have?…the Rick Darringer set neck Explorer and set neck V are about the rarest. Supposedly a few hundred of the explorers were produced be fore Rick’s Spokesperson role was terminated.

I have a ’77 mpc sunburst in excellent condition. Aside from the cheesy effects–let’s be honest!, it is a very nice guitar. Mine has been played to death, dropped-it broke my toe-and generally abused. However, it stays in tune, has great intonation, good tone, and the pickups rock. I have been so happy with the guitar over the years i have owned it-17 now, that I have felt it unnecessary to add to my electric collection.

Hey, My 1976 Electra MPC blows away my EX- 1969 & 1975 Gibson Les Paul’s for playability and looks. The pickups are a little harsher than gibson’s but I must admit I do love the built in phase…it seems as nice as the old MXR phase 90 I used to own. As for the other modules, I’ve owned 10 of them over the years and really feel the phaser is the only one worth while.

I just purchased an Electra Phase Shifter pedal at a flea market for $8. I haven’t gotten to try it out yet. Does anyone know the correct specs. for a replacment adaptor? If so email me. It looks beat to hell but I am hopeful that it might play.
