buy a book about chords, learn from c d e..etc, play along a song that you like a lot and play it until it amke you puke! then start another, if you felt like you had known the sound of chords it's the time you try scaling notes.
i start playing years ago (bout 15 years) the only thing that makes you realy start diggin' a guitar is find a song that you like! and please do jam a lots! be in a band! play all the time!
